Trading Spaces... BIG EPISODE TONIGHT

The purple room was cool...well for a teeneger anyway...but the Brown room was Eeeewwwwwwww!!!!

I only caught the ending of the brown room. She was slightly miffed, huh? ;)

The brown room was something I can't say on here, but think brown ;)

They cut out the good part the green girl attacked the orange girl after leaving the room for a bit. She really lost it.

What happened to the fight? They always cut out the good stuff. But that room was uuuuuuugly. I love the other room though.

Tasteless in my opinion.....I would have been mad too, especially since she told everyone involved that she hated brown. That wasn't taupe...that was what MarkRG was referring too!

I don't like purple either but I have to admit, the purple room was done with much style & pizzaz & perfect as a musician's room. Too bad the "brown room" couple wasn't half as pleased as the "purple room" couple!

Hated the brown. Although Amy did a great job on the pieces in the room. After seeing the pan of the house, there is no way that the brown should have been in there. What was she thinking? I just hate that after all the work they put in someone else's house, they have to start painting again.:(

I didn't think the brown was that bad. That woman who hated the brown was a real piece of work though. She was bossy to her husband and opinionated. I don't think she would have liked anything.

I liked the office room. The brown and orange room looks like a Burger King.

We did get to see them wrestling on the floor and the green woman saying "You know I hate brown" while she pretended to wring the other ones neck. Everyone was laughing.

Oh No! I missed it! Was it any good? We went out to eat and I was so busy trying to get my fiance to tell me when my bridal shower is, that I completely lost track of time!! Who were the designers? Did the homeowners like or hate the rooms? Now I have to try and get home by 4:00 all week to see if I can see the rerun!!

I thought the brown room was okay too, although I can't stand orange. It was so much better than the brown room Doug did IMO. Compared to some of the other rooms I've seen it wasn't that bad and it looked like everything could be changed pretty easily.

At least this time they let the upset lady leave without keeping her miked.

I liked the brown room, but my living room is brown. I think that woman just wanted to be in the spotlight.

LOL I caught it later on during a replay. That lady was NOT happy but it seemed she was mad but still able to half joke about it. I didn't think it was THAT bad but obviously she did. At least she left their ceiling fan! ;) I don't think she was as upset as the woman after Doug got finished doing her brown room. She had to excuse herself and you could hear her sobbing off camera and her husband looked like he wanted to throttle Doug. TS needs to get a clue and stay away from brown, it tends to make the women cry. hahahaha

I wonder how long that room will stay "taupe"?

DW Sue told me that she saw an episode of Changing Rooms last week where they went back to one of the houses that had a "bad" reveal. I turns out that the homeowners had completely gutted the room, removing all traces of the work that had been done. They repainted the room, and their house was up for sale. Seems they didn't want to live next door to the "friends" anymore. Such a shame. I hope that this doesn't happen to the Vegas group.

Did anyone else think that the woman who didn't like brown room seemed like a worry-wort. She questioned nearly everything that Edward wanted them to do to their friends' house. I guess that she doesn't like surprises.

I didn't think it was that bad. But, probably in real life the colours would have been brighter and more gaudy. The team that did it seemed to like it. Ah, what's another coat of paint? At least nothing was ruined in the room and should look quite nice with some different colours.

Surprisingly, I quite liked Edward's room. I usually don't.

Anyone else think that Amy Wynn does nicer work than Ty?

They sold their house to get away from their neighbors? What a shame. I didn't like the brown room, but I do realize that if you are willing to go on this show, expect anything. Don't agree to be on the show thinking you will get the room of your dreams.

They'll show another repeat of it this afternoon (sunday). I didn't get to see the whole show but I did see the end. I actually liked both rooms. I'm a purple fan though...it's my favorite color :)

I'm not very fond of brown, but I liked the design of the room. The coffee table and that shelving unit were really cool. It would've probaby looked better in Laurie's traditional lighter, brighter colors. Maybe she's been changing too many diapers though  (By the way, I finally got to see a pic of her baby and he is sooooo adorable)

I LOVE Amy Wyn's work but Ty is just as good I think (plus he's a hottie) and I'd love for either one of them to come make me some furniture. Everytime I think of having some custom made I tell DH that it's too bad he's not Ty!

HA! We just watched this episode on Tivo from last night.

I loved the purple room - esp. the plastic shades - a good idea, esp. for people trying to redeco on the cheap... but the taupe room... (ok brown)... I thought Orange & Brown went out when the 70's ended? Kinda scary! That lady was severely aggravated, those are exactly the kind of episodes I like to watch.

What kills me the most is people get on this show and are like, "I would love ANYTHING... except purple polka dots and brown lights.." and then they get their room redone...and Surprise! It's purple polka dots and brown lights. If I went on that show, I'd be like, "i hate leather couches and sheer window treatments!" Then I"d get what I wanted! :) These people have to watch this show to actually learn how to get their dream room!!

My DD (9years old) had an interesting comment after we watched this together last night. This morning she says "Mom, if she got that angry about the color on the walls, can you imagine what would have happened if they had taken apart the pieces of that lady's black couches like they were going to ??? !!!!" :p :p :p
