I'm watching it now... I can't wait to see how it comes out. Two good designers (Laurie can be a snot sometimes), but most of the time she does great rooms. Doug is a hoot! I love his sick sense of humor!!!

Thank goodness it's not Rick Rifle & Kia

Beauty-

You're NOT missing it!!!

It's 2 hours long, and it's barely half over.

GET ON IT GIRL!!!!!

If you miss it, they just said they're doing an encore presentation next Saturday at 7.

If you missed it, you can record it again tonight. It's on again at 11 pm central time.

Can someone tell me why they can spend $50,000 on a room(s) and not buy different clothes for the ladies to wear? Both Paige and the redhead (forgot her name) had the exact same clothes on both days. Yuk!

They always wear the same clothes both days so they can film out of sequence.

I loved Laurie's room. I loved Doug's kitchen, but wasn't crazy about the chairs in the dining room or the overall family room. I liked the bones of it so with a few changes I'd love it - I'd change the curtains and add some more accessories.

It was great to see the homeowners so appreciative - they really picked good people for the episode IMO.

I dislike most of Doug's rooms, so I was pleasantly surprised with his design tonight.

I thought both rooms were great. They did a really nice job. And wow, that woodwork that Amy Wynn and Ty did were awesome. Ty's designs were incredible - he really has an eye for that stuff.

The little surprises they had in the show was a neat touch too - gave the homeowners the chance to actually help on the room, because they were in the way with all those contractors in there.

I knew Doug would behave himself on this episode. There's no way he would do something completely insane when working with that much money. This is probably more along the lines of what he does for actual paying clients. Otherwise, I can't imagine who would hire him.

Another thing about the clothes they wear - I read somewhere that they usually buy two of everything they wear on the show so that they are able to wear the same thing for the whole episode but don't have to get too stinky/dirty.

Is it just me or did Laurie's room remind you of that pink and yellow dining room she did that time that had the toile fabric panels on the wall? Either way, both rooms were fabulous!

I think Doug did more with his money than Laurie did....Doug's family got a brand new kitchen and living area...appliances, counters, furniture, floors. It looked wonderful.

Laurie's room was gorgeous....very lovely and a wonderful living space. But....it was just a living room. I'm not sure I'd want a $4500 sofa and a $4000 chair in a room that young children use as their playroom. (it appeared there was not a separate den in that home) I know in just 2 days it's not like she could build an addition onto the home or anything, and in just a living room, I guess there isn't really anyway to spend that much except on high end furniture....

So, I think Doug's family got more "bank for the buck."

I agree that Doug's family got the better deal. It sounded like the family with the living room used it like a family room and that included a big dog. I'm not sure Laurie's furniture was either dog or kid friendly.

I taped it as I was flipping back and forth while the football game last night - but it looked like Doug did a good job

What a fun episode! I can't even imagine being able to spend $50,000 to redo a room! How cool!

I didn't get to watch it last night so I went on the web site to view both rooms. I didn't see the "before" photos but the virtual room tours were quite nice.

I thought that the rooms were great, I kept thinking, boy I wish I could see what Vern could do with $50,000! Is Vern on this season. I haven't watched much but I haven't seen him. Vern's rooms were always my favorites.
