trading points to use DVC - Magical Express?

We are exchanging our HGVC points for a week at DVC Old Key West, will we still be able to use the Magical Express transportation from the airport??

Yes. The Member from whom you're renting points will need to make the reservation for you, through Member Services (they won't talk to you - they can't).

Yes, as long as you have your Old Key West confirmation number there should not be any problem.

Just to be clear, we are not "renting" points, but "exchanging" our Hilton Grand Vacation Club points through RCI so we have no contact or connection with a DVC member. From what you are saying though, all we need is a confirmation number and that ought to work. Thank you!

For some reason, my earlier reply isn't on here. Anyway, we just traded in with RCI as well. When you check in you pay a mandatory $95 fee to the resort. ME is part of this fee. You can set it up with member services prior to your trip. In addition, you can add the dining plan. We are adding the QSDP for our trip. Keep in mind that Disney's confirmation # is going to be different than the RCI confirmation #. I just called member services to get mine. They were super nice and answered all my questions.

Yep, just call Member Services---when you navigate the phone menu, you want the optinon for "RCI exchanges" (It sounds like it's only for DVC owners making outbound exchanges, but that's the one you want too). The number should be on your confirmation from RCI, or you can find it on the RCI web page for OKW.

The great thing about staying at a DVC is that there are not x # of rooms set aside for the dining so you can always add it (as far as I am aware). As I mentioned, we are going for the QSDP because I have a DS2 that is not really the best at sitting at tables in a restaurant. You could also get the Deluxe dining plan if you would like. You pay for this yourself. I believe it was just over $500 for the week for myself, DH and DD7 for the QSDP.
