At the parks do the trading pins ever go on sale? I went to cheap pins.com, but are these pins really Disney pins or immitations? I am getting some for a Christmas present and we have a limit, so I am trying to spend wisely.
Thanks,
Gina

I have found some pins at WDW on sale but not many. The pins from the site you mentioned are Disney pins. You can also get pins on EBAY. Check the pin trade board on this site for more info.

I order from cheap pins all of the time. They are real Disney pins that I have had no problem trading at the parks. I just bought a bakers dozen a few days ago to put in my son's stocking from Santa, which has become a tradition as Santa seems to know that Mommy trades too and I get some in my stocking!

Thanks for the replies, I will try cheap pins. I will also check the parks. I would like to use Ebay, but we are leaving on the 18th, so no time.

Cheap Pins is a great site to go to for some trading pins. You can also find some discounted pins at the Character Premier Outlets in FL. Sometimes they have them in the parks, but very far and few between.
Make sure your son understands that these pins are for trading with CMs. The pin traders that hang out at the parks have all the pins you have to trade and sometimes are extremly rude to most people unless they have "good Pins" I wouldn't want him to have his feelings hurt by asking them to trade with him.
I am a pin collector, I don't trade much anymore, but have been insulted by some of these people myself. But boy do I enjoy trading with CMs. I met some of the nicest CMs through trading. Peggie

I have never turned down a trade with a kid that wants a pin from my lanyard...as the only pins I put on my lanyard are up for grabs for anyone as I can always trade them to a CM later.

Plus it cool to watch the kids show off their new pin they just traded for.

I think if everyone did the same...making trades with the same rules hat CM's have...then maybe the Sharks out there would be out of business.

When it comes to my pin bag..it's another matter...the rules change...You better have something I want. pirate:
