Trading in leftover tickets!?

I have heard that you can trade in unused park hopper tickets towards say a 5day PH. Does anyone know if it is possible to use these tickets toward an annual pass??? Also how much are they worth when traded in? I have called several different numbers and was told that I would have to wait until we got there and go to guest services... I'm a planner and can't wait that long, or go down there not knowing! Thanx for any info

Yes you can put your unused days towards an AP.I'm not actually sure of the amount but I think each day is worth as much as a single day costs.I can't tell you a dollar amount at all because I'm just not sure. It's been almost 4 years since I did this and I can't remember exactly!Sorry!

Yes you can trade in unused tickets or portions of tickets towards new tickets, but one thing to remember is that it's a "one-for-one" exchange. You can NOT, for example, trade in three partially used five-day hoppers and put them all towards one new PHP. It's one for one.

As for knowing the value of what you have left, you can estimate it by taking what you paid for the pass when you bought it and prorating it. For example, say you bought a five day pass for $200 and used three days. Then the worth of the pass at trade-in is approximately $80. It's not exact, but it will give you a ballpark idea if you can't wait until you get to a Guest Relations window.

Trading in is not recommended for old tickets and definitely a bad idea for old child tickets.

Example: Child ticket costed $90. for four days sometime long ago. Two days have been used. You the owner or with your grown child present can do a free even exchange for a two day adult ticket. Traded in it is worth forty five dollars which will only buy about one day's worth of an adult park hopper.

Old tickets that don't fit the fastpass machines should also be exchanged free. Ask for the old ticket back as a souvenir, too.

Totally unused old tickets (which are transferable until first use) might not be eligible for free even exchange so it is better to try to use them as-is.

One important fact is that if the tickets you want to trade in have unused pluses you will just lose those. So if they do you may be better off not trading them in.

You can trade any ticket in for any 'bigger' ticket... so a 4 day can go towards a 5 or 7 or AP...

Thanx so much for everyones replies!! I have conjoured (sp?) up a pretty good idea, since i am only allowed to use one of my 3 tickets for trade in, here goes... My parents will be traveling down as well and since we will be there for a fairly short time they are only interested in entering the parks for one day. soooo i am going to sell them two of my one day PH tickets (a little cheaper of course) and then trade in my third ticket towards an AP Thanks again everyone!!!
