Trading Dessert for Appetizer?

Is this possible on the new dining plan? We're really not dessert eaters, but really like the appetizer, so I was curious if you could swap this out???

As it stands right now, no. Reason being then every person at the table could order one of each and share.

Word from WDW is that no substitution of appetizers for desserts on the basic dining plan is permitted under any circumstances.
