trading Child's TS credit?

We are eating breakfast at GF cafe one morning, and DD (9) wants the Vanilla French Toast, so we've said we'll pay OOP for her breakfast that morning. We will be left with one child's TS credit. Can we trade it for CS?
Anyone ever done this?

I asked this question last week, but for adult credits. It's apparently not a guarantee, but worth a shot. Most resorts will, but it's hit and miss in the parks was what I was able to gather.
