Trading AP for magic bands

We are going in June. Staying off-site. We have our AP's already connected to MDE. We have used them a couple of weeks already. Will they trade them for magic bands when we get to Disney? Since they are going to let us schedule our FP+ before we get there, we thought it might be easier to use the bands instead of constantly (well, three times anyway) pulling out our tickets. Also, our daughter, her husband and their baby will be with us. They will have regular tickets, probably bought through Undercover Tourist, that will also be connected through MDE. Will they also be able to just trade them for magic bands?

Right now, no.
The only way to get MB is to stay at a WDW resort.

Nobody knows what will happen in the future.

Yes.

If you register in advance for your on-site stay (one night or more,) they will send you the MagicBands and allow advance FP+ reservations, too.
