Trading, accpeting reservations questions help please

How do you exactly and properly trade/accept reservations with someone?

If I am given a reservation from someone else, does that person give me thier name & the reservation # & just leave it the way it is?

Do they call and tell the CM someone else is taking it and then they give me the new info?

I am really confused.

I am not 100% sure, but i know that ive heard others on the boards say that they just went up to the podium with the ressie number and said they were that family. I personally havent ever traded, but hopefully this will give you a bump!!!!
