I can't see anywhere to make a reservation -- does that mean none are accepted? And if I don't have a ressie, will they let me park at the Poly to go there? Thanks! :)

Trader Sam's is a lounge. It does not take reservations.

If parking is available, they will allow you to park. It's up to the gate guard. They may require you to valet, or to park at the TTC. The TTC to the Poly is a 10-minute walk.

If you want to get inside Trader Sam's, I suggest getting there before they open, like between 3:40 and 4pm. They'll start handing out buzzers when they open. It's a really cool place, but the drinks can get pricey if you keep the mugs.

Does it really get so crowded that you need to be there before 4 to even get in?

We'll be there Dec 12-15 so not peak Christmas weeks yet. I have 18 year olds so we only have between 4 and 8pm to try it out before the 21+ evening hours. Our trip is pretty packed but I'm trying to squeeze this in somewhere.

It's a small lounge with not a lot of seating. Once it fills up, the wait could be hours. I walked in at 4pm one time and by 4:10, it was full. If you don't want to wait, you can sit outside and they have the same menu. You just won't get to experience the ambiance.

The seating capacity in there is about 50 and some of it is at tables and bench seats so you may or may not wish to join others at their tables (that means even if you get in, you may not be able to find a place to sit right away).

On weekend nights (Friday-Saturday) it will be busier. I just went on Sunday night and walked right in.

for those who can drink the alcoholic drinks, there is one price that includes the souvenir mug, and one that doesn't. If you want the mug, ask. You won't take home the one you drink out of, they'll give you a clean one in a box when you leave.

Try to make it to TS. The drinks are best on property, and the atmosphere is super-Tiki. Not a place to slip away for a quiet drink.
