I heard this is opening at Dtd... Anybody know when and is it a restaurant or store? This is the first I've heard of it..

I haven't seen anything official about it coming but it's a jungle cruise themed bar in Disneyland so if one does come out here it'll probably be similar.

Oh ok thanks! It sounded from a post someone made that it was happening at Dtd in the world, but I hadn't heard about it! Thought I missed something. It sounds very cool though!

It's possible.

There are about 75 new stores/restaurants opening at Disney Springs and I don't think any of them have been announced yet.

I read something about Trader Sam's possibly coming way back when Disney Springs was first announced. However, I haven't heard anything about it since. I would think that if it did come, it would be themed close to the one in DLR like the PP already mentioned. On a personal note, I would think it would be so cool if WDW did get their own version of Trader Sam's, we had such a great time at the one in DLR last June.

It's just a rumor. And Trader Sam's at DL is a bar that serves food. It is neither a restaurant nor a store.

seemed like it to me, but I don't know for sure.

It's pretty much the AC in one room and without the actors. And yes, the Trader Sam's in Disneyland has some AC props. Some of them are replicas and a couple are authentic. There is also a signed photo of the late, lamented Colonel Critchlow Suchbench on one wall.

The most "prominent" "rumors" seem to be that it definitely won't be at Disney Springs and won't be in the Poly Lobby,but will be somewhere on the grounds of the Poly as part of the massive refurb of the Resort-time will tell.

I'm hoping it's one of the bungalows jutting out into Seven Seas Lagoon. How awesome would THAT be?!
