Trader Sam's walk up

What are the odds of getting seating for 5 without reservations at Trader Sam's? This seems to be the elusive one for me, though the menu seems super good for our family and the location looks fun. Thoughts?

We had 5 on our last trip, our experience was…

For lunch, arriving 10 min before open shouldn’t be a problem on most days,

For dinner, send in member of your party up to put your name the list and they will tell you an approximate time which is generally pretty accurate. Spend the wait time in working your way through Downtown Disney so by the time you hit DLH you are good to go.

Trader Sam's or the Terrace? Trader Sam's would be really difficult.

I don't have the answer, but have you set alerts with Mouse Dining? I have had great success with that service.

The same food is available at the Tangaroa Terrace quick serve and there is also a walk up bar there. It's maybe an option if you can't get a reservation. I'd say you chances of being seated INSIDE as a party of 5 with no reservation is nil.

As others have said, if you want to sit inside the bar, your chances are nil to extremely small.

If you don't mind sitting outside, then you should generally have no issue except during very busy times.

The reservations are for the inside bar only at this time.
