Trader Sam's reserves down now?

I've never had so much trouble trying to get a TS reserve. I'm checking the reserves at approximately 6am on the dot, using multiple devices, and even checking every minute from 5:50 there is just nothing. I'm seeing online people say that TS is not doing reserves but rather walk ups but I doubt it's true. Trying to go in mid December but genuinely so surprised I haven't been able to snag a single reserve. I've successfully done it many other times before so not sure if I'm just super unlucky or what.

Hopefully they will just eliminate reservations for this place. There isn't enough tables to offer them.

How do you figure out how much time to block for each table? Reservations reduce the number of people who can enjoy the place each evening.

They could follow the Oga's Cantina model and limit it to 45 minutes per reservation.

I tried last night this morning at midnight,3 and 6, the date changed to the 18th at 6 and no reservations, so I wonder if its true no reservations all walk up,hmm

I have two different Disney dining notification apps where I've requested notifications when Trader Sam's becomes available. Nada. This really makes me think they just aren't doing them. I've used these apps many times in the past, and always get some kind of notification that a TS reservation has become available at some point. Being able to snag one is often a different story, but there's always a notification, either when they first become available (which hasn't always been at 6 am), or as people cancel. I've even been using the apps to check for days when I'm not even in the parks, just to see if anything will pop up and never get a thing.

Yesterday I texted support from the app (chat) asking about this, but wasn't able to get an answer. The person (?) who replied at first just said they're first come, first serve, then when I asked about the possibility they just weren't taking them anymore but hadn't made it official yet, they said they didn't have any information regarding that.

If anyone is in the parks, it would be great if they could walk up to TS and ask a CM there at the restaurant in person, as they're bound to know!

A 45 minute limit at Trader Sam’s would be difficult to enforce. Unlike Oga’s they are a table service location.
