I have two different Disney dining notification apps where I've requested notifications when Trader Sam's becomes available. Nada. This really makes me think they just aren't doing them. I've used these apps many times in the past, and always get some kind of notification that a TS reservation has become available at some point. Being able to snag one is often a different story, but there's always a notification, either when they first become available (which hasn't always been at 6 am), or as people cancel. I've even been using the apps to check for days when I'm not even in the parks, just to see if anything will pop up and never get a thing.
Yesterday I texted support from the app (chat) asking about this, but wasn't able to get an answer. The person (?) who replied at first just said they're first come, first serve, then when I asked about the possibility they just weren't taking them anymore but hadn't made it official yet, they said they didn't have any information regarding that.
If anyone is in the parks, it would be great if they could walk up to TS and ask a CM there at the restaurant in person, as they're bound to know!
