Trader Sam's drink prices

I've noticed on all the menu pictures I've seen of Trader Sam's there are no prices on the specialty drinks or the beers, only the wine. I just called Disney and they said there are prices of the drinks when you get there. I was just wondering if that was true?

You have to ask when you are there. There will be no prices on the menu. But the ones I had were about $20 including the souvenir mug.

My parents and bro got I think 4 drinks (including souvenir cups) and the total came to about $110.

Every review I have read said there were no drink prices listed, but maybe if you ask?

I believe people have posted the prices of the drinks by looking at their receipts after purchasing them.

There's a complete list here: http://www.themouseforless.com/walt-disney-world/dining/menus/trader-sams-grog-grotto-menu/

Thanks for sharing the prices! It's good to know what I'm in for.

My husband has it set in his mind that he and I can power through all the souvenir mug drinks in one night - I'm slowly convincing him that it will have to be two separate nights to accomplish this and not die. :rotfl:

Can you purchase drinks in regular glasses or all they all in souvenir containers? I just want the booze, not the souvenir mug!

I'd love to see the video of that ! ;)

All of the drinks can be purchased without the souvenir glass with the exception of the Polynesian Pearl - I tried to order it without the souvenir glass on our trip two weeks ago and our server said because it's the only glass that can't be rewashed (it's the only plastic glass) they're required to sell it to you. They washed out my specific pearl to take home, whereas DH got a new, clean, boxed up glass from the counter on our way out.

I've seen the menu prices posted around the internet. Frankly, with the drinks being as expensive as they are, I'm surprised they don't tell you the prices in advance. I wonder how many people order a drink and are shocked and upset when they realize after the fact that it costs $50!!

You cannot, however, buy the glasses without the drinks.

Hence my diabolical scheme: Guest wants the glass but NOT the drink? Let "Micca's Fast Glass+ Plan" help. Just download my app and tell me what drink to order and when you want the glass. I'll order the drink, consume the contents and sell the empty glass to you at a Dis friendly rate. :drinking1

I agree, if you are going to print menus, put prices on them. I know in some bars you don't know prices upfront, especially with things like draught beer, but if there is a menu card, put all the prices on it!!

The prices are a bit high.. but the drinks (when we went, anyway) were strong. And the souvenir glasses are decent quality. I think they said it knocked off about $5 if you didn't want the glass. I'm just waiting on the Nautilus to arrive.
I did see the HippopottoMaiTai glass - the adorable glass tiki head thing - at one of the Poly giftshops. No idea how much it was though.

We went in early April (during the soft opening) and there were no prices on the menu. I found this a little troubling because I didn't know if my bill was going to be outrageous or not so we kept our visit short and had one drink each without the souvenir glass. When we were leaving there were cast members doing surveys of the patrons to find out everyone's feeling and experience at Trader Sam's. I told the cast member that the only thing that I did not like was that the prices weren't printed and she said that she had heard the same thing from others.

I agree with a PP that the drinks were strong and it seems like most of the single drinks were around $10 - $12 each without the glass. It was still a fun experience and I would definitely go back to have another drink (or two ;) ).

Ask before you order, they will tell you the prices. The way they do it means they can change the prices whenever, without printing new menus. They probably won't start putting prices on the menus but they could post them.
