Trader Sam’s mug release Oct 25, anyone there 25th & 26th?

Looks like Friday night there will be a new mug release for three Tiki mugs… I’m at Disney Oct 20th to the afternoon of the 24th and then again the 26th and 27th. OF COURSE the day of the mug release I’ll be doing universal studios in the day and Halloween Horror nights that night.

If anyone is planning on snagging a mug for themselves, would you mind trying to get one for me and we can meet up real fast Saturday? I’m really only interested in the Fourth Edition Hatbox Ghost Mug. (This is actually for personal enjoyment too and not an eBay resell; I like my Trader Sam’s mugs and have them on display in my house and use them.)

Sort of but not really. You need to mobile order the mug(s) starting at 7am on Friday. If you’re able to order one then you return that evening to pick them up. If you select dining in the Disneyland map app, there is a new location half way between Trader Sam’s and Pixar Place Hotel.

Yep, I’ll be driving down from Universal on the 26th, probably at the parks between 10am and 11am, but I can nail a time down if you’re successful in snagging one; I’ll try to work to whatever makes it easiest for you! I’ll also be in the park until about 2:30pm on Sunday the 27th. I’m staying at the Westin Saturday night.

Don't worry - they'll all be on eBay within an hour of their release, and only for 300% more than they should cost, plus that much in shipping!

Lol. In the past year, I haven't seen the mugs sell out for a few days.

No. After the first day, you can just go when they bar opens, which I think is 11 am or 12 noon. Then, stand in line and get it. I know I did that with a mug that came out either November 2023 or January 2024 (the last two times I was where).

We no longer have the patience (or time) to deal with the utter madness that release day had become. For several years, we have had no problem purchasing the new releases over the weekend. The free cocktail that’s included when purchased at the bar makes that option even better.

If you were going to try to snag one for me, don’t worry. Unfortunately I had to change my travel plans so I won’t be down here on the 26th or 27th any more. Ended up getting two mugs that I don’t yet have though and had a blast on my trip! So thanks again but you won’t have to snag me one, lol

I suspect following them on Instagram or something is the best bet for any information. I saw and heard (even just a couple days ago during a meal at Trader Sam’s) zero promotion or information on this release. I only noticed it because I saw the new dining location on the map and wondered what it was…
