Trader Sam’s Late Night?

Hi Everyone! I am trying to plan strategies for getting into Trader Sam’s on a Monday night in Dec. I have read about the opening time procedures, but has anyone been at like 9:00pm? Is it easier or hard to get in? I am a little worried the virtual line will be full if we wait till 9:00p to get our name on the list. Im just not sure about sacrificing a whole afternoon just to try to get in. (We have been but the others in our party have not).

No kids after 8pm I think so normally that opens things up.

In the past nights were busy, a 45+ wait isn't unusual. Some reports I've read are it's harder now (after being closed its very popular) to get in at night but somewhat easier during the week nights vs weekends. The virtual line really is nothing new, its how they've always done it. The bummer is you have to show up in person to get on the list. The good news is that Tiki Terrace has a lot of space and seating so you can still get a drink (or two) even if you can't get in to TSGG. I do agree with @thptrek that it helps once the kids are out, but still a very popular and small location to get into.

I don't know about post covid, but at 8 pm they kicked out the families and space opened up. It did eventually fill up again. There isn't a lot of room inside, and even if they let you in it could be SRO with no open seats.

I went on a Friday or Saturday night a few weeks ago. I got there around maybe 7 ish and was told a 1.5-2 hour wait. About 45 minutes later everyone was being told a 30-60 minute wait so I checked in again with the CM's and was told I'd probably get in around 9. Got my text at 8:45-ish. It stays busy late because it's sooooo tiny inside, but I do think a lot of people put their names on the list & don't always come back. Definitely worth trying!

Ugh...bummer. I was hoping to stop by there after Epcot closes this Friday (my only day to play while at a conference). Was planning to get there by 11'ish and figured it wouldn't be that busy. I'm solo and have never been, always traveling with the kids/family. Just wanted to pop in and check out the vibe and one of the fun signature drinks.

might give it a try anyway, see what happens.

@glvsav37 as a solo guest you might stand a better chance of getting in, could be standing room but if they have an opening they want to fill it. I've had good luck a couple times at Trader Sam's ETB getting in like that, easy to fill an empty seat at the bar.
