What are the things you MUST have, those things you make a special trip to TJ's for?

For me, it's a pretty big list.

Garlic stuffed olives - yummy alone or in a martini
*Olive oil - great price
*Tapenade - makes my warm pasta salad so gooooooooood
*Red Mole sauce - makes meat or even rice so spicy without too much heat
Enchilada Sauce - yum
Fire roasted frozen corn - added to soups gives them more depth.
Jarlesberg cheese - best prices on the imported cheeses I've seen in our area
The NY cheesecakes - actually I don't buy these anymore, they are TOO good to even try to stop eating!
*Ponti dry vermouth - best vermouth I've tatsed and it's 3.99 a bottle!
*Purple Moon Shriaz - red wine for 2.99 and it's juicy and fruity without being sweet. One of my favorite "cheap" wines.
Wasabi cashews - hot but goooooood.
Walnut halves - it's tough to find them at a lower price.
Roast beef - it's in these vacuum packs and it's cheaper per pound than most grocery stores here. Also, it's really really good.

Actually the items with the * are the only ones I will make a special trip to TJ's for. Everything else I pick up while I'm there.

I love TJ's.

I do not get to go to TJ's very much but when I go I always get a case of Purple Moon. It makes a great gift.

My latest find is the spinach chive pasta. We toss it with olive oil, feta cheese, and fresh parmesan and it makes a really tasty (and cheap!) dinner.

I also love their pizzas and wine and beer.

Found a really nice Chilean Sauvignon Blanc last time for $9.

DH and I both love their cheeses, artisan breads, organic milk and the Gorgonzola & Walnut Tortellini.

I also love their yogurt (hard to find yogurt cups without gelatin in a regular supermarket), and many of their veggie frozen meals are super-tasty!

Love the pizza dough.

Used to go weekly but now am not as eager, after a local "glass in baby food jar" incident and handful of other recalls I found online.

When I do go the prices are always very reasonable.

My list is so long I could just go on and on, here are a few off the top of my head

Number Guacamole
Jasmine frozen rice
All kinds of frozen fruit for smoothies.
Praline pecans, great on salads or just as a treat
Fage greek yougurt, cheapest at T.J's


It is really rare to find something that isn't good, and then just tell them next time and they will give you something else instead. You don't need to bring it back.

I know we have done threads like this in the past. It is fun to see what others like too.

Fage Strained non-fat Greek Yogurt-DH stops once a week to get me a pint as it is the only place in town that carries it.

When I am being indulgent:
The chocolate covered cherries
Sesame sticks
Sesame thins
Canned crab.

Our TJ's is in a pain the hinny location - hard to get into (lots of traffic) cruddy parking and the place is always packed, so I usually try to avoid it.

*DH added orange chicken
*soy milk- their brand of the large tetra packs is the best deal on soymilk anywhere
*clif bars for kids (only place I can find them)
*cat cookies- THE favorite lunch box snack.
