We would like to trade our 4th of July week at a Gold Crown/5-Star oceanfront resort in Myrtle Beach, SC for a week at a Disney property either August 21-28, 2004 or the week of Thanksgiving (November 13-20, 2004). Our unit is at Shore Crest Villas I in North Myrtle Beach. It is a 2B/2B unit that is on the 2nd floor overlooking the ocean. We are looking for at least a 2B/2B Disney unit. This will be my sons (7 & 5) first trip to Disney and we would love to give them the true “Disney” experience. We own a fixed week at our resort and at the time of this post I can offer the 4th of July week (Week 27) for 2004 or 2005 as trade. I will be using the 2005-week with II to try and find a traditional trade into Disney, and am currently trying to rent the 2004-week. Please specify what week and what resort you could trade and whether you would want our 2004 or 2005 week. Thanks.

Banked week with II, posted on Tug, posted in Redweek "Redwishes", and this board... you name it, we have the offer out there - will move to non-Disney property closer to travel date. You never know, according to II the 4th of July in MB is very hard to come by and our week (27) combined with the resort we own (oceanfront, Gold Crown/5-Star) has the power to trade within II straight up for the August week should a Disney property become available from a DVC owner - don't know about Thanksgiving b/c they are not available yet according to II. Trying to skip the middle man and avoid some of the other fees associated with traditional II trading by going this route. Appreciate your feedback - maybe someone else will see it as a good opportunity.

I'm not sure Shorecrest is comparable to DVC, the reviews are quite mixed on TUG. You may want to consider offering your unit for a smaller DVC unit or for a 5 day Sunday to Friday stay or both. While you might, or more likely might not, have a chance for a 2 BR through II; you would encure both a $121 exchange fee plus the $95 resort services fee. You should have no problem getting something in the Disney area outside DVC. No question though that MB is a difficult exchange for 4th of July so maybe you'll get some action. Good luck.
