Trade manners

Am I wrong to wait when I know that others are auctioning off the same item I want to sell. I have always waited till their bidding is over to start mine. Does it matter you vote.

This is a though one to answer. I picked to wait because that is what I would want done if I was posting a trade.

That being said not everyone plays by the same rules, so I it is up to the individual trade. I know that you usually like to have in your threads when your decision will be made, but I don’t know how many trade offers I have out there that I have no Idea how long I have to wait for that decision to be made. So if you want to wait until they are closed you maybe waiting a long time. I say if there is a thread on the same item and that thread has a expiration date in it then wait until that thread is closed. If there is no time limit on it then go ahead and start your own.

you should do what your comfortable with. I will tell you what I do

If I have set in my mind I am trading an item then I dont care how many are posted up or by whom (friend or foe LOL)

But... If I read someones trade post and think wow those are good offers I am putting mine up for trade @_@ then I wait.

I think its important to remember that this is a game, and trading is part of the game and there is NOTHING wrong with even making the opposite choice.

Personally, I try not to offer the same things as another for trade until the previous trades are complete. If I am trading something that everyone seems to want, then I feel it is okay to have a good competition over its value, but I try to be careful I'm not driving the value down too much. lol

I think you only hurt yourself if you open up a trade for an identical item with identical wishes that is already up.

Is it bad manners? If you make the trade thread IDENTICAL - yes. I have had ppl literally copy and paste my initial post and list their own item. That's just tacky. But is putting up an item that is already up bad? Nah, same item is for trade on other boards or in trade rooms every day.
