Trade Lego Minifig Series 3

In Ohio I found the Series 3 at Meijer store. They were $1.99 and there were a ton of them. They weren't with the toys or other Legos. They have a section of stocking stuffers in the Christmas aisle and they were located there.

Is Series 1 still available anywhere? If not, by any chance does anyone have an extra zombie from that series they would be willing to trade? I just found out about these so I can only offer a trade from a current series. TIA

Walmart in Seabrook NH had them for 2.99 each yesterday(Series3), in the toy dept in the Legos section. We picked up 2 packs, will go into Christmas stockings, so we don't know what we have yet.

Yup, I was just going to post that WalMart here in NY has them too! They were $2.97 versus the $3.99 that TRU was charging. Still not the $1.99 on Lego.com, but hey.

ETA: It was pretty clear they'd been picked over. I went through almost four boxes and no fisherman or elf.

My Meijer (Holland, MI) had a bunch of them too for $1.99. I went with cheat sheet in hand and found it almost impossible to decipher the bumps. Some packages had no bumps at all. At any rate I picked up 2 with different bump patterns and will see how well I did "code cracking" Christmas morning.
There was one package someone had ripped open so you could see the figurine inside....it's bump pattern didn't look like the cheat sheet said it should so I just gave up. I would have bought more if I had any confidence at all that it would work.

On a side note I wonder if they'll go on clearance after Christmas since they're in the stocking stuffer bins.
