We bought over $600 worth of gift cards to Home Depot and Lowe's b/c we are doing a lot of remodeling right now. I bought them from cardcash.com which I have bought from many times and never had an issue. In the past, I've only ordered $100-$200 but I 'splurged' cause the discount was good and we have some big upcoming purchases. Anyway, their tracking shows it was delivered today but nothing from them in our mailbox. What can/would you do?? Besides freak out...already doing that...

We had really bad weather earlier in the week in the Midwest that totally threw off deliveries and tracking systems for both USPS and UPS. I did a little freaking out of my own (although my purchases were much smaller than yours!)

I checked UPS tracking on Jan 6 and it was "package was delivered on Jan 7" ??? The next day, it had a message about weather causing delays out of UPS control. Then, on the 8th, tracking said package would be delivered on the 9th, but it showed up later that day. Tracking was useless, but at least I got my package! We had a similar situation with USPS this week, too. It was just a rough week all around for deliveries.

OP-- I probably wouldn't freak out until after your mail comes on Monday. Good luck!

Thank you. I didn't realize the tracking system could be off. That makes me feel a lot better.

I've also had stuff showed delvered even though it's only at my local post office.

Yep. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes from 6pm.com and the tracking said delivered. They weren't at my house. The next day, my neighbor came over with a box and said it was delivered to her front door. It was one pair of the shoes. The two pairs were under the same tracking number. I asked her if another pair could have fallen into her bushes or beside her stairs since I assumed they were shipped together. She looked (they typically use their garage entrance, rarely go out the front door) and no box or shoes. SO, I emailed 6pm.com and explained to them what happened. They credited me back the cost of the shoes (which were on clearance and no longer available in my size ) and opened an investigation with UPS. They said I might be contacted by UPS. I haven't been yet (this was within the last week) but I kind of hope they do contact me because this is not the first time they have delivered stuff to the wrong house. And our houses are all VERY clearly numbered. A bracelet I ordered for my mom for Christmas- that cost $150.00- was delivered to a house 5 house down from me on the other side of the road. Thankfully the people who live there- who I don't even know- brought the package to my house. They could have said "SCORE!" and kept it because it was clearly marked as being from the store I purchased it from. We don't live on a street with cookie cutter houses that all look alike either. In fact, we are the only Gambrel style house on a street with ranches, splits, capes and colonials. I don't get it. Seems like UPS is slipping.

This was shipped USPS. We have only lived here a few months and we have received other people's mail 3 or 4 times. I don't know what is up with our mail guy  Sadly, since we haven't lived here for very long, I only know a couple of my neighbors.

I also can't remember how cardcash.com ships...even though I have ordered from them tons...like does it clearly say on the outside that it's a gift card deal. I know when I buy from giftcardrescue.com, it says that name on the label from them.

Its probably on its way but I would still call post office on Monday so that if they say you did get them you can call cardcash and get them to put a "stop" on the cards. This same thing happened to us with a giftcard company we always use. Never have had any problems until this Christmas USPS said delivered (we have a po box so it wasnt delivered to my neighbor) but we never received them. I was refunded my money thank god.

Good thought, if it doesn't arrive in Monday's mail, I'll call the PO.

UGH, I feel for you! I unfortunately have the exact same address as my neighbor on the corner...except mine is CT and his is DR. I CONSTANTLY get his mail delivered to my house. Typically I go put it in his box. Lately I have been putting it back in my box with the flag up and a letter for the mail carrier to pay more attention to the address.

What is really irksome is when my lovely neighbor gets my mail delivered to him, he writes "NOT AT THIS ADDRESS" on it and my brilliant postal carrier returns it to sender. I can not even count the number of packages I have been contacted about by the shipper to verify my address because they were returned. It is so frustrating.

I hope your giftcards show up :thumbsup2

If you know your neighbors well contact them. AND contact the post office/UPS. Especially if one of them has an address that is similar to yours. We had several packages delivered to the wrong address this year. Luckily our neighbor was very kind and called us to let them know they'd been delivered to the wrong house. If she hadn't we would have been out about $400.

Nothing. It's at the post office and you'll have it Monday or Tuesday.

But you could check the company's website to see if they have suggestions. I just noticed a couple of hours ago that Amazon has a "Find a Missing Package That Shows as Delivered" page - after several years of buying from them.

I sure hope you are right!!

I read through the company's entire website last night and found nothing about 'what if I don't receive my purchase' or 'what if my package goes missing'. And they have a pretty decent FAQ section but nothing related to my issue here.

USPS tracking is useless. Delivered may or may not mean it's really delivered. It'll probably come tomorrow. Good Luck!

Thanks to everyone for helping me to feel better. I'll update tomorrow.

Didn't come today either. Guess I'm calling the PO now.

Wanted to update this a final time. The gift cards have never been delivered. Since the tracking shows 'delivered', they must have been delivered to the wrong address. My mail guy said he knocked on a few doors but no one was home.

Thankfully, I contacted cardcash.com over the weekend and they got back to me Monday morning. They emailed me scans of the giftcards and I was able to go online and spend all the money. I didn't get what I needed but at that point, I just needed to get the money spent. So I will return what I bought and have them issue me a store credit.

Lesson learned for me. Be very careful ordering these cards (since there is no insurance) and such a high amount at once.

OP - I'm glad you were able to find a way to preserve the money.

It's very frustrating when something was supposedly delivered. I ordered some clothing from a national chain with in-store pick-up in December. I got an email that the order at arrived and went to the store to get it. They didn't have it. I waited a week and went back. They still didn't have it, but they called and checked on the order. According to the tracking, the order was delivered, and they had the name of someone who had signed for it. The person who signed was not a name the store recognized. The company has no idea where the order went.
