Track Completed at Seven Drawfs Mine Train

Disney Parks Blog is reporting that the last piece of track was installed for the upcoming Seven Drawfs Mine Train ride in the MK:

Most likely, it would be fine with me if there was a soft opening anytime between 10/20 and 10/26. Disney has said it will open in Spring 2014 so I don't think there will be any type of opening in October.

This Orlando Sentinel article has a little more info about the ride and describes the intensity as "between barnstormer and Big Thunder"

Any hope for a early Dec soft opening? I saw another thread a while back saying this could be possible - keeping everything crossed

They stand by their 2014 dates. I think we'll all know when we see all outside work finished and fences coming down... and some actual rail car action... that's when we usually salivate for soft openings. And we often don't hear about it until a week or two before they start!

If I end up going in Early Dec, this is gonna be torture!

It's amazing, when I was there just a couple weeks ago it didn't seem this far along! Excited to go back soon and ride this ride. I'm excited for the dead end in New Fantasy Land to be opened up also. The area in front of BOG and Ariel's Grotto was super crowded even for Pre-Memorial Day May

Never the less, I love when Disney gives us new rides, just hope the People Mover never dies, it's the perfect ride to cool off and relax on

Oh I hope Spring 2014 means "Spring Break" or Easter week. This would seal the deal for doing at least 1 Disney park day. If it's open MK it is then. ;0) Fingers crossed!

Which is fine by me. Especially with the kids -- you can get them started on Barnstormer, then ramp it up slowly to the Mine Train, BTMRR, and then they'll be ready for Space Mountain (or not, but you should be able to tell by then).

I found it funny if you went through the pictures in the Orlando sentinel article about 8-10 pictures in you see Sean Thompson taking pictures from the disunplugged team. Just a fun fact I noticed

It would be great if there's a soft opening in January! Though I'm not counting on it...can't wait for it!
