I was wondering if it is possible and/or if anyone has been successful in receiving text alerts to your tracfone, such as through AOL mail by setting up a filter on AOL such that whenever I get an e-mail from a certain sender, I am alerted on my tracfone? I have followed all the steps for registering my phone with AOL and this and that. AOL says Tracfone is responsible for helping me. Tracfone says it is not possible to receive these kinds of alerts to my tracfone; that these kinds of texts are called "shortcodes"(?), and Tracfone does not support these. Is this your understanding, also, or is there still hope that I can get text alerts of this nature to my tracfone? Thanks.
