Hi Tracey,

Sending lots of :wizard: and  your way. I hope everything works out for you to either move or for your neighbors to calm down a bit. :goodvibes I was thinking about you last week when we were at POP. You're going to have a great time there!:woohoo: We met several families from the UK who were there on holiday and they were having a blast!

Hope you have a great Sunday!

Tracy -- I'm sorry the valuation on your house was lower than needed to make a move. Sometimes, I think these things work out for the best, without us even knowing it. When I look back on times that our strategies didn't fall into place, I can look just a bit further down the timeline and recognize how great things turned out, and that they woulnd't have worked out that way if our plans had come to fruition. DOes that make sense?

So glad you had the girly day with DD and that you found the energy to get back to the gym. YOu have to keep inspriring me, girl!!! Dont' let up now!

Hi Tracey,

You are a very busy woman. My sister teaches special ed, so I understand how exhausting it can be to teach lower functioning kids. Routine massages may be the answer.

DH and I would like to move too, but the market is in the toilet here. I understand what you are going through. It stinks, and I am sorry that you have to stay where you are. Keep an eye out, though.

Keep up the great work, woman.
Beth

Sorry the house hunting/moving isn't working out right now. Bummer, but when the time is right it will happen.

Glad you & Dd got to go 'controlled' shopping! Good days don't have to cost a lot (I keep trying to convince my DD of that!)

Have a wonderful week!

Thanks Tracy, Cam & Beth
Its so nice to come here & read all the kind positive comments :goodvibes

Cam - yes you make sense! - i think you were trying to say everything happens for a reason! & your right, i think because we feel we cant move & the choice has been taken away, we feel kinda stuck here, where if we had the choice we may well have decided to stay put anyway!! - Does that make sense??

Beth - The US housing market made the news here too & is just starting to effect the market & banks here, one bank had to borrow money from the bank of England because cash is drying up because of the US bank problems & it caused a major panic, ques of people drawing all their money out of this bank & it didnt stop until the goverment were forced to gaurentee all savings!
Hoping interest rates will come down because of it though - every cloud has a silver lining eh ;)

Tracy - Thats so nice to imagine you were thinking of me on your vacation  I'm sure i'll love Pop i'll soon be in single digits (even if it is months ;))

Well my something yummy last night turned out to be a slice of maidera cake & a whole tub of cheese & chive dip!! I'd been craving the dip for weeks so i hope its out my system now!! kinda cancelled the gym out though!!!

Monday
Inset day at school (training day kids not in) we had a behaviour management course - it was very good :thumbsup2 School provided lunch - not a healthy one i'm afraid!!

b/fast - cereal
snack - 2 small choc bars (= one big choc bar!!)
lunch - pizza & fries with coleslaw & salad
dinner - think were having pasta!

DD is off on a school trip tomorrow to Stratford Upon Haven (shakespaere's home town where the Globe theatre is) She has to be up at 6am & wont get home till 8pm. They get free time to shop & me being the over protective mother is worring about her roaming a strange town :scared:
so prayers & thoughts would be appreciated to get her their & back safely & to keep her safe whilst their too!
Thanks

Tracey -- Sending good thoughts for DD's trip. It is okay to worry -- moms are made that way!

Hi Tracey!!! Thanks for stopping in my journal and for your kind words.

A belated on congrats on your wedding. Getting married at WDW is so cool!!!

Keep up the good work!!!:thumbsup2

Stacie

Hi Tracey, I gotta love you girl, when you splurge, you splurge on good stuff! Cake and dip, now thats a dinner worth having! As you say, the dip is out of your system now. No beached whale comments allowed, you were in a resting place of digestion.;)

I will say a prayer for dd, she will have fun on the trip and it will be good for you. An exercise in letting go a bit, which I am finding with ds almost 13 and dd11, is not easy for a mom to do. Worry away, we understand and we are probably worrying too!

:lmao:
love that one Amy, i will use that in future :rotfl:

[ Amy& Dan - Tracey, I gotta love you girl, when you splurge, you splurge on good stuff! Cake and dip, now thats a dinner worth having!/QUOTE]

lunch - cheese & pastrami roll, yogurt, small piece of quiche, strawberries & grapes
dinner - off to decide on that later!!

Weather forcast predicting its going to turn reallly cold from tonight - i think its nearing time to dig out my thermals!!!

Stacie - thanks for stopping by & the belated congrats :)

Cam - thanks for the good thoughts for DD :)

Julie - sorry i didnt thank you for your post last time i posted - i think we posted at the same time!! i have to admit controlled shopping is very rare where i'm concerned..... infact it might have been a first!!!

Well, Tracey, sounds like your DD is having a good time (or more likely had by now). VERY hard to let them go & not worry!

I'm already stressing that my DD wants to get ahead of me at TOT & it will be DARK!!!!!! Life as a mom is SO HARD sometimes (no, most of the time!)

Hope you had a good rest of the day!

Hi Tracey,

My mom has told me that the job of a mother is to worry. We need to believe that we instilled sense, responsibility, and intelligence in our children, so they can make the right choices in life. That said, we also need to have a safety net under them. You'll always worry. You are a great mom, and DD is a wonderful girl. She will have a fantastic time.

Take care of yourself,
Beth

Hi Tracey,

I'm glad your DD has a great time on her trip. Don't forget...it's a mom's job to worry. ;)

That is great that you started your Christmas shopping already!:thumbsup2 I was telling my DD6 the other day that we don't have anything for Christmas yet and she reminded me that we bought some Yankee Candles on clearance a few weeks ago for Christmas gifts. :woohoo:

Hope you have a great Wednesday!:goodvibes

Hi Tracey,

I am sitting here with a cup of tea at work, so I thought of you. Hope today is going well for you.

Take care,
Beth

Tracey, if you and I ever do meet up, I think we will indeed have a VERY good time! I can see you and me drinking our way around the World Showcase in a memorable fashion!

Your food looks good so that is great. I am amazed at how well you journal your food, I need to take a page from that book.

I made the mistake of giving ds a hug when I picked him up on Tuesday, uh oh, I am in hot water now! What happened to our little kids? Hope this week is going well, just keep up your good work!

Happy Friday Tracey!

I hope all is well with you. What kind of weekend plans do you have? And does it entail a cocktail? You always seem to be doing something fun on the weekend. I do like to live vicariously, you know.

Take care,
Beth

phew finally made it here!!!
gotta be quick as i've spent ages catching up with you all ;)
Your all so busy!
Bad news:
Food has been terrible:sad2:
didnt get to gym Wednesday - feeling very tired & run down!
Good news
went to the gym Friday (but had a huge KFC meal afterwards!!:( & i didnt really enjoy it either, not had fast food for ages & it tasted very bland)
(Also had lots of choc Friday lunch :rolleyes1 )

Saturday
Went to Matlock again (remember we went a few weeks back & had a picnic etc..)
They had their illuminations, so we went with my mum & dad, DD & DH had dinner there (Italian) & watched fireworks, we had a great time, had such a laugh with my parents, reminded me of when we all did WDW last year :goodvibes
Made me realise we dont spend enough time together, but i really appreciate the lovely memories from this day which will stay with me forever :goodvibes

b/fast - cereal
lunch - 5 crispbreads, yogurt, small choc bar
dinner - pasta (at Italian Restaurant) 3 glasses of wine

Sunday
Woke up feeling VERY light headed & throat sore, did feel bit better once i'd been up a while!
Went to gym - i'm hoping i'm motivated again now as i was starting to feel so restless & uncomfortable & felt great after Friday (until i ate the KFC - which may i add gave me terrible wind for 2 days!!)
went to buy some paint for staircase, dragged DH to look at a house i really like ;)
Went to mum & dads for tea, saw grandad too :)
b/fast- cereal
lunch - pasta with tuna & tomato
dinner - cheese & turkey roll, small pork pie, 2 glasses of wine, small piece of fresh cream choc cake!!

Did i mention my SIL (notice i've missed the 'D' off!) rang in the week.
last weekend we told sil & brother we were hoping to move - she rings 3 days later to tell me they've put their house up for sale :furious:
Yes i should be pleased for them but i just feel angry!!!
angry that they do what we are finding so difficult to do & i feel they've only done it because we mentioned it!!!
I think she knew i wasnt pleased & havnt heard from them since!! I need time to cool off anyway!

the good news -
i've boooked our flight seats for wdw next year, & booked overnight airport hotel too :thumbsup2

Hi Tracey,

It sounds like you had a nice weekend jaunt with your family. You are absolutely right. It is really important to make those memories while we can. I have started asking my mom about her childhood in front of my DD7. I think it makes history real for Kate.

I have a sister that sounds just like your SIL. Ignoring her really causes my DSis to get angry. ;) :thumbsup2

Hope you have a good Monday.
Take care,
Beth
