Tracey's wedding weight loss attempt (comments welcome & needed!!)

Hi wish buddies :grouphug:
Sorry i've not been around much - all of a sudden i dont seem to have any time!!!!

So heres my catch up
I went to the gym on Friday & did the steam room, sauna & swam in the pool :)
Its so nice their, i get to work out & then relax, its like being on holiday!!!!
Food - i cant remember it all but i did have fish & chips (fries!) for dinner :confused3

Saturday
I went to the gym again & did same as above :) so i went 4 times last week :woohoo:
Food - cant really remember,
we went to see a greenday tribute band in the evening, they were ok, but VERY loud, they didnt sing much i knew & DH hated it, i had 2 mini pizzas, slice of toast & a handful of pringles when i got in :(
I know my food was good in the day on Friday & Saturday - its just evenings!!

Sunday
b/fast - croissant
lunch - rst Turkey, mashed potato, rst potato, yorkshire pud & gravy - no veg :(
dinner - 3 crispbreads, yogurt, 3 chocolates

Monday
Went to the gym, then hit the steam room, then did water aerobics :)

b/fast - croissant
snack - low sugar hot choc drink, low fat cereal bar
lunch - turkey salad, strawberries, yogurt
dinner - 3 crispbreads & 1 cookie - didnt get in till 7.30pm & couldnt be bothered to cook anything for myself!!

Gary is on call for gritting, he went out as i got in - we passed each other on the street!!! He could be out all night as they've forcast a bad frost!!
The weather is very cold & frosty in the evenings but it has been lovely & sunny (but cold) during the day! I wanted to go for a walk yesterday, but we didnt get time :(

I did WI on Friday & was up 4lb :scared1:
WI on Saturday & it had dissapeared again!! - that happened last week!!
So i've decided WI can be on a Saturday from now on ;)

Food isnt great but not terrible either, i'm gonna see if i can lose at the gym without cutting back first if i dont get any results in the next week or 2 i will have to start cutting back!

DD had a letter from school & has been invited to do a computer course after school that will give her a qualification by the age of 13 :cool1: Over here kids dont usually get qualifications till they are 16!!!

I will try to not be gone so long this time so i dont have to bore you all with so much in one go next time!!!!
Hope everyone has a great week
Tracey :wizard:

Hi Tracey~

Sounds like you are doing a great job! Keep up the good work!:cool1:

Congratulations go out to your DD!:cheer2: That is quite an honor!:goodvibes

Hope work goes well for Gary tonight... What does "gritting" mean? Is that similar to how we use salt to keep the roads free from ice and icy spots?

Have a great Tuesday!

Congratulations to Leanne, that is quite an honor at such a young age! And great job getting to the gym. It sounds like quite a place and with the way you are working out, then you should be able to have some fish and chips without guilt! Keep it up, hope Gary doens't have to work too hard. Spring needs to get here for all of us!

Sounds like things are going pretty well. It's always nice to know that someone else has a wacky weigh-in pattern! It's frustrating, isn't it??

Congrats to DD, that is wonderful news!

I'll be passing through Heathrow on 21 and 24 Feb, be sure to wave towards the airport to me!! :wave2:

Spot on Tracy :)

And hes out again tonight :(
They have forcast snow for the weekend :(

Work still hectic, but the teacher comes back tomorrow - thank goodness!!
We actually got supply in today (was on my own again yesterday) but her DH rang at 9am to tell her their dog had just died, poor girl was in a right state, she stayed but wasnt 'with it' which is understandable, then i had to deal with an 8 year old throwing up..all this before 10am & my cuppa!!!

no gym today, back on thursday, i'm itching to get there again, but i need a couple of days to get jobs done & to make sure i dont burn myself out!!!

Food
b/fast croissant, earl grey
snack - hot choc drink, low fat cereal bar
lunch - turkey salad, strawberries, yogurt
dinner - spaggetti bolognase with sundried tomato bread, low sugar choc mouse type dessert.

I'm afraid my resoulution to be sensible with money went down the pan this month :( i did manage to save £300 but might end up having to dip in it now!!
If i do i will make sure it goes back some how :headache:

Hi Tracey~

I hope things settle down for you at work soon. :goodvibes

That's great that you are wanting to get to the gym! :yay:

I hope that things work out so you can add that money back to your savings account. :goodvibes Doesn't it seem like the moment we try to save money, something comes up? I know it does for me.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!:cool1:

Glad the teacher is coming back tomorrow, that should help things settle down a bit. And that is so nice that you are missing the gym and dying to go back. That is a very good sign! My theory is that trying to save money and lose weight is a tall order! Do the best you can, it will all happen!

P.S. I saw you on a San Angel Inn thread today, it was weird to see you away from the WISH board!

I hope you're having a great day!

I totally feel you on saving money. Just like my diet, I always start out with the best intentions...and then the end of the month comes and I'm shocked at my credit card bill!

Hi, Tracey! I hope things have calmed down a bit for you at work. Sorry DH has been working such long hours, but hopefully there is financial recompense for it! Congrats to DD for being selected for the computer class -- I am sure you are very proud.

I LOVE hearing how much you enjoy the gym. It gets me re-motivated to get to mine!

Have a great day, Tracey!

Good evening wish buddies
Thankyou all so much for taking the time to visit my journal, i really really appreciate it :grouphug:

Well i'm scared!!
They have forcast at least 6 inches of snow tonight - maybe more!! They are predicting the heaviest snowfall in 40 years :scared1:
My poor DH is in work all night tonight & hes been at work all day today, he got to come home for a few hours then went back, he will get tomorrow day off though!
I suppose we've had every other kind of weather thrown at us lately, the snow was the only thing left!!

I dont know if i will get to the gym tomorrow now :( Either the weather will be a problem or DH will have to work, crossing my fingers though!

The teacher came back today  he was very jet lagged & coming down with something so he wasnt in the best of moods!!! Still i hugged him when i walked in the classroom this morning & told him i was soooo glad he was back. I feel really tired today, i think that now hes back it kinda hit me how stressful it was coping!!!

Food
b/fast - croissant, earl grey
snack - hot choc drink, low fat cereal bar
lunch - soya & linseed bread sandwich with cheese & onion sandwich filler, yogurt, small choc bar
dinner - turkey in a creamy mushroom sauce with baked potato & corn on the cob.

I managed to sort out not having to dip in my savings
money will still be tight, but hopefully i can mange without dipping.

Onto another kind of dipping:
I have to make a confession :(
I ended up eating a whole tub of cheese & chive dip with pringles last night :sad2: I was home alone & bored. Trouble is there is another tub in the fridge (that is supposed to be DH's) thats calling to me right now. just gotta resist........

Cam - glad i can motivate someone, i dont think i've ever been a motivator before :goodvibes

bekkiz - luckily i dont have a credit card - they took it off me cos i kept spending too much ;)

Amy - hope you said hello on the san angel thread :wave2:
have you eaten there?

Tracy - Quote: 'Doesn't it seem like the moment we try to save money, something comes up?' too right!!!:confused3

STEP AWAY FROM THE DIP!!!!! Do something that you don't associate with eating, for me it's reading or surfing DIS or watching TV (although for some people it is a habit to eat while watchingTV). Once you get into that other activity, the chips and dip will have lost their hold on you. You can do it! :wizard:

Your weather has been really rotten, I hope springtime comes soon. I'm glad you got your money situation squared away, the tight budget for a few weeks will be worth not digging into your savings!

:rotfl:
I've been on the dis for hours now!!!
& yes i like to eat when watching tv :confused3

The 2 classes i work in have started up a web blog. I would really appreciate it if anyone could post a nice comment their, the children love reading comments from all over the world :goodvibes
(The comments are screened by the class teacher)

Here are the links

www.priestsic3.learnerblogs.org (This is the class i'm in the most)

www.priestsic33.learnerblogs.org

(the class whose teacher went to new york, they havnt had many comments)

Please dont give any of my embarrasing journal stuff out!!!

Did you manage to avoid the dip???

I am a blog dunce, I have no idea how to post a comment. Could you PM me some instructions?

Yea, teacher is back!!! I think it's high time for you to get some nice weather! If it helps, we're expected to get a lot of snow in the next few days too. Were you able to make it to the gym? Thanks for motivating me to get back on track (January was ROUGH for me!). You have such a commitment to getting healthy and I hope to follow your lead. If you can step away from the dip, I can step away from the cheesecake! ;) Have a great weekend!

Throw the dip away!! I can't have dip in the house, I cannot control myself! I hope you made it through without dipping. Your food looks good otherwise, keep it up. And I am so excited for you and this new gym. It sounds like you are really enjoying it. I hope you don't get that much snow, if so maybe they'll close down school for you tomorrow? Stay warm and safe. And yes I have eaten at San Angel. I love it. I love all food, what else is new? But you are right about it being very dark. And I did say hi of course to a fellow WISHER over on that thread! I always feel like I am running into an old friend when I see a Wisher on other parts of the dis.

Hey Tracey!

So did you get the bad snow? We certainly got some, and my kids were off school a day. Supposed to get more next week:scared1: I don't like winter!!

Glad the teacher is back, and I'll have to check out the sites you listed. That is fun to hear from around the world. My youngest DD's teacher, when she was about 7 yrs old, had people send snail mail to the class from all over the country and other countries, it was quite fun!

Have a good weekend!:goodvibes

Good evening wish friends from cold & snowy England!!

I resisted the dip, i had a small cake instead, trouble is the dip still in the fridge & its Friday!!!!

School didnt close yesterday but the kids got to go home early if parents wanted to pick them up so we had a nice afternoon with the kids that were left - they played in the snow! I know a lot of schools down south closed as they had a lot more snow - we had no where near what was forcast BUT it has been snowing steadily all day today & its forcast to carry on tonight!!

Gary gritted between 1am & 4am last night , & hes just on his way out the door now!!! (5.30pm).

I think i'm coming down with something, i woke up yesterday feeling very light headed, sick & with a sore throat, but I did manage to go to the gym last night :) Was going to go tonight, but thought i need to rest, going back on Sunday - hopefully!!

Food yesterday
b/fast - croissant, earl grey
snack - low fat cereal bar, hot choc drink
lunch - cheese topped roll with cheese & arista pork, yogurt, small cake
dinner - chk soup with one slice of bread, choc/caramel bar

Today
b/fast - croissant, earl grey
snack - low fat cereal bar, hot choc drink
lunch - cheese topped roll with cheese & arista pork, yogurt, choc/caramel bar
dinner - Its fish & chips night :) & proberbly dip :( sorry i have no will power when dip is in the house :sad2:

lovinaz - i've pm'ed you, thanks for offering to post on our blog hope you like it :) I hope this snow has gone before you pass through, most of the airports were shut yesterday, i'm afraid we dont cope well in this country - half an inch & everything comes to a stand still :sad2:

CJK - its lovely to hear from you, me inspire you!!!! NO you inspire me
sunfloridadisney - i hate winter too, roll on spring
Amy - i'm so glad its not just me with a dip weakness

SunFloridaDisney - I hate winter too, roll on spring

Amy old friend ;) - glad its not just me with a weakness for dip :thumbsup2

You know, I was just thinking about how I've been able to do so much better with my food and it is because I no longer buy junk that I can't control myself with. Like almonds (that aren't pre-packaged), Cool Whip and ice cream. It makes life so much easier when I am not constantly tempted! My suggestion is to stop buying dip - your DD and DH can learn to live without it too!

I will be sure to check out your blog soon, thanks for the pm!

Hey Tracey, Sorry to hear you have so much snow, I hope it goes away quickly! Poor Gary, I am sure he is very sick of this weather. I agree with Amy about keeping hard to resist foods out of the house. I just have so many foods (the list is very long  ) that I can't keep around. And dip is one of them! Good job resisting it, hope that trend continued tonight. If not, at least its gone! I hope you have a great week, thanks for all your support with my journal, its much appreciated!
