I saw the flip style at dollar general for 20 bucks. Virgin also makes one a pre paid cell phone which I liked better than a trac phone. The virgin one is at wal mart. I found I was spending to much on the pre pay phones so I joined sprint and got the free phone. Two year contract though.

The best deal is available directly from the Tracfone website. It's almost always available. You get a phone (which comes with 20 minutes included upon activation) plus two 60-minute cards for $19.99 plus tax (s/h is free).

If you activate the phone online, you'll get an extra 30 minutes added every time you add minutes online after that. You can also apply codes to each 60-minute card and the codes will get you as much as 60 additional free minutes. I've activated 60-minute cards and gotten 150 minutes out of them (60 from card, plus 60 from code, plus 30 for every card added).

Just go to the Tracfone website and click on Buy Phone, then you'll see a link for the $19.99 deal. The phone you'll receive varies depending on what zip code you plug in.

Some of the phone have free incoming text messages, while others will use 1/3 minute per incoming message, so if that's important to you, be sure to order using a zip code which will get you the phone you want. You can still activate the phone for any zip code you'd like.

As someone here said .. its the cheapest way to order online from TRACFONE...

has anyone ever come across any discount codes for even cheaper ?
I am looking at buying at least 3 phones and possibly a 4th one !

Another question I have is... on their website , you have to put
in the zipcode of the area where the phone will be used (I am buying
them as gifts ...) so does it mean it cannot be used in other areas
of the states ??

If I am buying for someone to use in Washington , can they take the phone
to New Jersey ,etc....

It doesn't matter what zip you type in when you order. You might want to experiment with different zips, because different areas offer different phones with the deal. Some phones are nicer models (color, flip, etc.), but you have to pay for incoming text messages. Others are more basic model phones, but incoming text messages are free. If you're buying for a child or young teen, you probably want to order one of the phones with free incoming text messages, but if you're buying for a person who doesn't text much, then the nicer phone is probably the better deal.

No matter what zip you enter at the time or order, you can activate the phone for any zip you want.
