I've been comparing the pricing for our tickets (as below) and the CityPASS works out cheaper but that means we only have 1 day at Universal because we'd be using the CityPASS at Disneyland first and miss out on the second day free at Universal because you need to use it there first.
People's thoughts, do you need a 2nd day at Universal Studios? Or can you get everything done if your there from open to close? We were planning a half day with the 2nd visit

on first read through, i thought we were going to be at disneyland at the same time and on the same flight home, and i thought how cool is that??!?! then i realised you're coming back in nov. we're coming back in december.

it sounds like you have a lot of your plans already sorted. we're at that horrible stage where we've prepaid for a lot of it and it's really just the spending/food money to save, plus money for tours/tips/extras and one lot of accom that we still have to pay for so it's despair time. our savings account is at $0 as we've just shelled out all our money, and we now have to save up even more!!!! lol.

oops! That would have been cool though Yep same here, all of our accomodation and transfers are booked with most of the flights, only Vegas to San Fran and San Fran to LA to book so thats easy and buying our entry tickets 
I'm expecting to come back buggered! Thank goodness I'll have five days to recover before being avaliable for work

Bec & I have scrapped the LA shopping tour (the reviews were terrible 
) and we'll do South Coast Plaza + The Block at Orange instead on seperate days to make the most of our time

- It goes for AGES and is really loud and rattly (too rattly and bumpy for me) but they LOVED it and did it several times.

I've never been to Texas, sounds like fun!
TBH we weren't thrilled with Vegas, but we're not really big city party type people and it was really a bit overwhelming. We were only there for one night to see The Lion King after our Grand Canyon trip. I would DEFINITELY recommend a day trip to the Grand Canyon - take one that goes down to the bottom if you can. It's one of those things you need to see for yourself to really appreciate it. You should have plenty of time to do one, and also relax by the pool
We had 3 nights in San Fran and really could have done with an extra one. I would recommend doing the evening Alcatraz tour if you can. It really gives it extra atmosphere and the view of the city is very pretty at night. You arrive early enough to see it in daylight as well so you get the best of both worlds! We walked from Fisherman's Wharf to the Golden Gate Bridge - was a LONG walk but nice. The really long part was when we tried to find the Walt Disney Family Museum (which we eventually did find BTW, only to find it was closed on Fridays
I would definitely get at least 5 day passes for Disneyland, 14 day ones would be awesome! It's nice to not have to rush from attraction to attraction, especially on your first visit, and just be able to take in all the Disney magic. I also tried to make it so that we wouldn't have too much theme park time in a row so DH wouldn't get overwhelmed, but it turned out that he was happy to spend more time at Disneyland than I had expected!
IMHO I wouldn't bother doing 2 days at Universal. We went midweek and it was so quiet we had everything done by lunchtime and struggled to fill in the time until the bus left. Having said that, my SIL went at Christmas time and she said she could have done with an extra day there. So I guess it depends on the crowds.
We didn't bother with Knotts or shopping, so I'm afraid I can't really help you with those. I was going to suggest maybe you could split up for a day if there was another rollercoaster fan in the group, but it sounds like you've come up with a good compromise to go for half a day.
Most of all I would suggest that with such a full itinerary, you will probably need to be flexible and keep an open mind. If you walk past something that looks like fun, investigate! Some of my best holiday memories are of completely unplanned, spontaneous activities. And in the last couple of weeks, if you're all tired and grumpy and completely over it, allow yourself more down time than you've planned. You've done well putting Disney at the end though... it's hard to be tired and grumpy there

Thanks for the info about the distance to the Disney museum, I was thinking a bus from the Golden Gate bridge after doing the walking tour? I'm such as Type A so I really hope I can! As long as the main things I want to do (at least one shopping centre, Disney & the dance shop) get done I'll be sweet We might show up somewhere and have planned on a five hour stop and find we're done in an hour so fingers crossed for this to happen
Hi - thought I would answer a query seeing I've been throwing them up on the board this weekend!
Re shopping in Anaheim and Knotts': I'm not a coaster freak but DH and my 2 DS's are and they loved the Ghost Rider at Knott's - it is a legendary big old wooden coaster - famous among coaster freaks apparently - one of the oldest around I think?
Any hoo - I rode it- once!
They also loved the Accelerator and a couple of other coasters at Knott's - we were there last October and it was VERY quiet - walked onto almost all the rides - amazing! You could easily do it in a morning from Hojo's actually, if it is as quiet when you are there.
Now, shopping: as you are already hitting some outlets I would probably skip the Citadel in favour of an upmarket splurge and go down to South Coast Plaza - it is a very upmarket mall - THE place in OC. We spent a day there and had a great time.

It took all day to get there and then we only had an hour to view it. I must admit it is absoluetly breathtaking and something you really need to see in person, but do the flights, you'll kick yourself if you don't!!!
Oh my lord, my bones rattled for days!!!!!!!!!! The DD and I are coaster junkies though, so will be doing all the big ones and definitely having fries and a shake at Johnny Rockets which is inside the parkas we want to just have a light lunch as we want to have Mrs Knotts famous fried chicken for dinner! Another place you can use the ART pass to get to!
crazy2: we were green after we got off that one let me tell you !!! ) and we went shopping for over an hour at Citywalk..........make sure you check out the Popcornopolis shop........... yummy yum yum!!!!
Minnie Sue chime away plus some pool side chilling! I think between all of the shopping centres I've added to our list we're at 5 Disney stores so far? Dallas (Grapevine outlets), both Las Vegas outlets, San Francisco and Main Place. Can't remember if Beverly centre has one seriously cannot believe I didn't think of it earlier! Amazing what my brain can do with only one uni assignment to focus on and no course work left I'll remember that and if we do happen to be in the park on the same day we should, even just to ride the railway or something to have a bit of a chat & you can fill us in on any insiders secrets 
I totally understand it because if I didn't have such a big family and airfares were cheaper I'd be considering a Disney wedding, too bad I don't even currently have a bf 
lol I'll just find a millionaire to marry so he can fund everyone's tickets 
I'm dying to try Johnny Rockets! I lovvvvvvve cheeseburgers & the whole 50's vibe has me sold on it I was surprised that the ART serviced some many places but hey works for us 
Do they give samples?? I cannot wait to try out all the awesome ice cream places, I'm such an ice cream junkie lol Stole that of my gf's friend 
I should post a pic of the inside of my wardrobe door, its all US trip related apprently no-one did their jobs, checking the dates on our plane tickets lol I reckon it was because another gf and her dbf flew off to London yesterday for a Contiki tour/London trip and I fell asleep knowing they had one sleep till they left
