TR Oct/Nov 2012- Cowboys, casinos and pixie dust OH MY!

can you remember what the temp was when you were at DL...we are there in 3 weeks and it says 48-68 degrees.....cold enough for trackies/jeans..or shorts and jackets????

Well our temps ranged from 64F to 96F from memory, 96F made us feel sick walking around Knotts but at Disney most mornings were a little chilly until the sun was up properly and then dipped as the sun was setting. Bec wore jeans and tshirts most days but I wore shorts and a light jacket most days and even with light rain I was fine. The only time I was cold was the first day back at the parks I didn't take a jacket and it was really cool once the sun set and when we watched WoC from the front, getting wet while it drizzed rain :rolleyes2 so worth it though :thumbsup2

I'd say at least a jacket or cardi you could throw into or tie onto your bag but not sure about trackies or jeans, if your close enough to the parks maybe go back to your room mid arvo to pop them on to do the parks at night? The night we went in for fantasmic I did wear leggings with my jacket because it was cool and I had just washed my hair :rotfl:

Edit: duh of course your room is close to the parks to get changed! Totally forgot you're booked in at GCH

ToT at night AND when it was raining???? That would take it to a whole new level of scary!

It was quite awesome ::yes:: the adrenaline was pretty high, almost more so then the first time lol I wish I'd dragged Sam #2 on at night too later on but somehow we didn't :confused3

I will have to do ToT at night now. Kids and DH did it, but I didn't for some reason. I can't remember why but I can recall eating a churro while I was waiting for them :)

Its so pretty at night, though the lights kinda blurred as I didn't have my glasses on :rotfl2:

Friday 9th of November

This day was originally earmarked to go to the Outlets at Orange and a discount dance store in Anaheim. We decided that we could not fit anything else into our suitcases once we'd bought our Disney souvenirs :lmao: so we changed our plans to go to CA for the day until we had to meet up with Sam #2 & Sam #3 who were flying in from NYC.

We started off going on Maters, 30 mins wait and then walking around Cars Land. Then we watched It's Tough to be a Bug, cute and liked the details heading into the theater of the bug posters ::yes:: and the termites scared the crap out of us lol

Then we did Paradise Pier again grabbing FP's for Screamin and going on Mickey's Fun Wheel while we waited, of course we had to go on a swinging one didn't we :rolleyes2 I did not enjoy the swinging after sliding part! Bec laughed at me but staring down at water from how many feet above it is not amusing! I think we also did Goofy's and the Swings at this stage.

Then it was time to try Screamin...and I honest to goodness though I was going to pass out or have a heart attack! The wait was about 15/20 minutes and it got worse the more time dragged on, I don't know how Bec put up with me :rolleyes2 but after Screamin my head off almost the entire ride I did really enjoy it :goodvibes

Then we went and checked out the Turtle talk with Crush, the Beast's library, Ursula's Grotto area which was cute and we got photos with 20's Pluto.

At some stage we ate lunch up at Boardwalk Pizza and Pasta and I tried a semi-dried tomato chicken pasta which was nice and filing. I'm not quite sure what we did after that but we did browse the shops for awhile and I bought a Disneyland Chamilla bead that fits on the Pandora bracelets. I think we might have also had photos with other characters during this time :confused3

We grabbed FP for ToT and checked to see if Sam #2 and Sam #3 had landed yet which they had but they were still waiting to leave LAX. Both of us were getting tired so even though I wanted to stick around for the parade we went on ToT and got some more PP photos before leaving around 4.30 and going into DTD to pick some stuff up in World of Disney

We got back to the room about 5.30 and the Sam's were caught up in peak hour traffic so after resting for a bit I jumped into wash my hair so we could go straight off to dinner when they arrived. Then I set to work reorganising my suitcases and had the Sam's scare the crap out of me when they unlocked and came through the door without telling us they'd arrived :faint:

Then we set off on an adventure, aiming to get to the Cheesecake Factory (BIG BANG!) at Garden Walk...but I forgot when we drove past on our way home from Sea World we turned off that road to get on to Harbor so we walked about two blocks past the road we needed to turn down before we asked for directions  it was worth it though but we waited about 20 minutes while we were all starving! Then of course no-one could finish their dinner, go figure :rolleyes2 the sizing were not even mega sized I think we just filled up on soft drink (to make use of unlimited refills ;)) and scoffed what we ate too quickly.

So that meant going back to the room instead of going to Bubba Gumps for desert because we couldn't fit it in in San Francisco. We had planned to share the chocolate chip sundae desert between 2 but that will have to wait till next time now

Then we bummed in the room, packing bits n pieces while watching tv before going to sleep, ready to get up to be at CA for the rope drop :thumbsup2
