Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Hi Tracy, I am so glad you are feeling better, it must be wonderful to feel almost back to normal!

I always say that "this trip I will not be running around like a chicken with its head cut off before we leave". When I do that, its amazing how nice it is! It sounds like you are really in a good spot for your trip and Christmas.

I saw the weather today and wondered if it would warm up much before your trip. We have been when its that cold and we still swam. My experience is that they keep the pools really warm on those colder days/nights. Just take some nice fluffy robes to throw on after you get out!

I like your plan, it sounds very relaxing. Are you doing the DDP this trip or just winging it with your meals?

I hope you don't get too much more snow, on the other hand after this, even the 60's will feel warm and tropical!

Hi Tracy! I hope that snow ended! How are your pre-trip plans going? Hopefully the weather forecast for Orlando will get a little warmer for you.If not you can use our winter in Florida travel philosophy...we wear shorts no matter how chilly it is and always go in the pool. Heck, we've exited NJ for some Florida sunshine and by golly we're going to dress like tourists no matter what! LOL. One year when we were on the ferry to the MK, one of the CM's was playing a guessing game as to what state the shorts-wearers were from. (he was wearing gloves and a warm jacket)

Seriously, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time!!!!

Thank you Lola, Amy, and Denise!:grouphug:

I honestly can not believe how much snow we have here! It has been snowing for 4+ days now and I'd say we have well over two feet of snow. And you know what? It's not even winter yet!:sad2: UGH. :(

We've spent the past couple of days getting ready for our trip. On Tuesday, I had my hair colored. It was supposed to be medium ash brown with highlights. It ended up being a very dark brown almost black color which is actually closer to my natural color. I think. I can't remember. :lmao:

On Wednesday, we went and got our rental car for the trip. Alamo didn't have much to choose from and we ended up with a Hyundai something or other. (Doncha love how exact my details are? LOL!)

Today, we're having breakfast with my MIL and getting haircuts. We'll also try and get some running around done as well.

Tomorrow, we'll tie up some loose ends, get paperwork done, run some more errands, and finish packing.

I'm not sure what time we are leaving on Saturday. It's up in the air at the moment.

As far as our Disney plans go, we are just going to go with the flow next week. Unfortunately, the temperatures aren't improving much so we may not get a whole lot of pool time. Plus, we'll have to wait and see how I feel after the trip down too. If I feel good, the plan is DHS and Epcot. If not, then maybe just Epcot. I'll just be happy to get out of the cold and snow!:woohoo:

Hope everyone has a great day! Stay warm!:goodvibes

Sure sounds like you are getting your share of pre-winter winter weather. Im sure FL will feel toasty warm in comparison. Good luck getting your last minute to-do's done and have a great trip. Can't wait to hear about it when you get home.

You must be on your way by now.Have fun and remember all the snow you left behind- no wait forget the snow you left behind!!!

Linda

Thanks Lola and Linda!:grouphug:

Today is the day!

Unfortunately, my plan to get my to do list taken care of before today, didn't exactly work out the way I wanted it to. My to do list is a mile long, but I am going to just work through it so we can leave on time. Did I mention that we haven't even packed yet?!?!?! Good thing it's a short trip! ;)

Our plans are very tentative at the moment. The weather looks like it will be sunny, but chilly. That may alter our plans a bit. We plan to go to both DHS and Epcot this trip. Not sure what days though. We plan to eat at T-Rex, Sweet Tomatoes, Red Lobster, Earl's, WPE, Pop Century, and around the world at Epcot. We may possibly eat at Sci Fi and House of Blues at some point as well.

Hope everyone has a wonderful week ahead!:grouphug: See ya real soon!

Hope you got done what needed to be done before you left and you're able to put the rest aside until you get back.

Have a wonderful and safe trip.

Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back.

Hi Tracy,

I am betting you are home by now and wiped out from that long drive! I hope your trip was great, and I hope the colder weather wasn't too much of a bummer. Can't wait to hear all about it and welcome home and Merry Christmas!:santa:

Good morning friends,

Wow! It has been a long week and a half since I've been here. We got home from Florida on Saturday morning and DH was immediately back to work. He had two jobs that added an additional 8 hours of driving time on top of the 16 hours it took to get home.

We had a good time in Florida. The first couple of days were brutally cold though. That wasn't much fun. I felt like I was at home.:cold: LOL!

We did DHS (skipped Sci Fi) and Epcot while we were there. It was nice because some friends of ours from home were at Ecpot the same day we were so we hung out with them and their kids. Everyone had a wonderful time!

The girls only got to swim for one day. The weather was unusually cold while we were there. :cold:

We did try a new restaurant while we were there. It's called Orlando Ale House and the food portions were huge and yummy!:goodvibes We went on Sunday so there were tons of football games on. Good times!:cheer2:

I did notice a couple of things...The CMs didn't welcome us home at BCV and weren't as friendly as usual and the Christmas decorations have been scaled back again. :( Kind of a bummer....

Now, we're back to our routine...Somewhat....School is done until next year so we have some free time on our hands, but work has picked up for my DH so I'm busy in that aspect. I'm also working on plans and goals for 2011 for healthy living, Disney, and our finances. My DH and I just haven't had a chance to sit down and go over anything yet. I am grateful that all of my Christmas shopping is done and wrapped and my Christmas cards are going out late, but they are going out. ;) Cookie baking will happen soon....

Very exciting news!!!! My BIL asked his GF to marry him last night! We are very excited about the upcoming wedding!:bride::groom: No date yet, but I'm sure they'll have one soon. :goodvibes

Well, that's about all from here. Hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday!:grouphug:

Merry Christmas!:santa:

Today, we have Christmas at my MIL's house. Tomorrow, we have Christmas here, at my aunt's house, and at my parents' house. On Sunday, we have Christmas at my Grandma's house. A very busy weekend, but filled with fun and family!:goodvibes

I weighed myself this morning and weighed a lot less than I expected. TOM is scheduled to arrive any day now and I have been eating like crazy! I'm sure it will show up on the scale eventually though. :(

Still working on goals for 2011...The key is to not make too many and to make them somewhat attainable. I'm working on both!:thumbsup2

I pray that you and your families have a very blessed Christmas!:grouphug:

Tracy, I am all caught up with you and sounds like you have had a very busy and wonderful month. So thankful your stent is behind you and that you had a great trip. I would like to hear more about BCV. We are thinking of staying there next year.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and that you have a great day today.

Tracy,

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas!!:santa: I am so glad you had fun in WDW, but I was so bummed for you that it was so darn cold.

It makes me sad they have scaled back the decorations yet again.

That new restaurant sounds yummy!

Take it easy and enjoy the rest of the holidays. I am ready for 2011 and continue our journey together.

Thanks Linda, Lisa, and Amy!:grouphug:

We had a very nice Christmas!:santa: Lots of fun with our families and some nice gifts from Santa. :goodvibes I do have a cold now and we're all pretty tired from all of the traveling we have done the past few weeks, but we had a truly blessed holiday. :goodvibes

I'm hoping for a relaxing week ahead....My DH only works a couple of days this week and the girls are off from school so hopefully, we can relax and chill out.

I've been working on laundry and our budget today. I'm making decent progress on both. Later on this evening, my DH and I will work on our Disney plans and budget for next year. That's the fun budget!

I hope everyone has a nice evening! Stay warm!:goodvibes

P.S. Lisa- Please let me know what questions you have about BCV and I will try and answer them for you. It's our favorite resort next to our favorite park! (Epcot)

Tracy, rest and stay warm. I hope you feel better soon. Sounds like you have a great start on a great week. :goodvibes

Woke up not feeling well. :( Headache + Nausea =

I'm going to try and take it easy today...Do a survey or two and then work on Disney plans for 2011. I hope to have the framework of the trip and budget in place by the end of the day. :surfweb:

Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!:grouphug:

I pray you are not sick Tracy. Stay warm, dry and eat some chicken soup and drink hot tea.

Did you get the Disney budget done? I've sketched out mine. Working on that hopefully helped you feel a little better. :thumbsup2

Thanks Lisa!

I'm still not feeling well. :( It's an off and on thing. One minute, I'll be feeling okay and the next minute my head is hurting and I'm nauseous. I am praying that this is over soon and that no one else in my family gets sick.....

Our plans for Disney 2011 are taking shape though. :) We plan on going in December and we plan on doing a split stay....We'll do 4 nights @ VWL and 8 nights @ BCV. I can't wait!!!

If you could, please send some good thoughts and prayers for my mom. She passed out in the doctor's office yesterday so her doctor had her admitted to the hospital for a battery of tests. We don't have any answers yet and may not until early next week. Your prayers are much appreciated!:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a nice New Year's Eve eve.

Tracy lots of hugs and prayers for your Mom- hope all turns out OK.

12 days in Disney- WOW! What a blast!

Happy New Year to you and your family

Linda

Tracy,

I am saying prayers for your mom, I hope she is doing better. Hang in there friend.

I hope you are feeling better, sounds like you may have picked up a nasty bug.

That split stay sounds wonderful, VWL will be perfect at the holidays. Are you still doing your free dining thing at Pop in September?

Hang in there, keep us posted and I just pray your mom is doing better.
