Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

Thanks Stacie.

Good morning friends,

The past few days have been hectic....We have been Christmas shopping, meeting with friends, working, homeschooling, going to the doctor, e.t.c. My DD7 has been pretty sick for the past couple of days and yesterday, I found out that I have an ear infection. Blah!

Today, I need to get to the grocery store and finish making Christmas gifts with the kids. I may start baking today or tomorrow.....I'm not sure yet. Christmas is coming so fast!:santa:

Since we will be pretty busy in the next few days and I may not be able to make it to journals, I wanted to stop by and wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas......Merry Christmas!:santa:

See ya real soon!:grouphug:

Oh no...I hope DD recovers in time for Santa's big visit on Tuesday :)

Hope you guys are having a great weekend!

Wow--you have been a busy lady the past few days! I really hope your DD is feeling better! No fun being sick on Xmas. And I hope your ear infection is all better as well!

Sounds like you will have a lot of people to visit with over the next few days, I hope that is fun and relaxing for you!

And, you reminded me...I have to get ready for the after-xmas clearance sales!!! Gotta go get stuff for next year!!

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

:santa: Merry Christmas to you and your family Tracy!!! :santa:

Sending you some PD :wizard: that you and your children are all healthy for Christmas!!!

Thanks Scott, Laurie, and Amy!:grouphug:

My DD7 is on the mend....I'm still dealing with the ear infection. :( Hopefully, the medicine will start working soon.:wizard:

We are finally done with shopping and baking. Today, we go to my MIL's house. Tomorrow we go to my aunt's house and then my parents' house tomorrow evening. Very busy, but hopefully, a lot of fun!

Tracy -

Just wanted to wish you an offical

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Have a great day :)

Good morning friends,

Thanks everyone for stopping by! :grouphug: We did have a wonderful Christmas! Unfortunately, I started feeling sick on Christmas Eve and it has turned into a full blown cold/flu. I think it's the same bug that my DD7 had. I'm not making any plans for the next couple of days. I'm going to try and take it easy and get rid of this thing.

Hope everyone has a great day today!:grouphug:

Hey Tracey--I am glad to hear you had a Wonderful Christmas!!! But, I am sorry to hear that you are sick. I hope you are feeling better really soon. :wizard:

I think it is smart of you to take it easy for a few days until you are better, you don't want to start the new year out sick.

Hang in there and feel better!

Thanks Laurie!

I'm still not feeling well....My MIL is a nurse and said that the flu strain that is going around right now is a tough one to get rid of. Just when people think they are getting over it, they start feeling sick all over again. Sounds like my DDs and I to a "T"! :(

I've been doing a lot of resting and napping. Last night I made the mistake of taking medicine that helped me feel a lot better, but also kept me awake all night. The last time I looked at the clock, it said 3:15 a.m.

I've also been reading and thinking about the New Year ahead.... The book I have been reading (and re-reading!) is called Simplify Your Life by Marcia Ramsland. I have gotten so many wonderful ideas from this book!:thumbsup2 I have been taking notes in my journal like crazy!:goodvibes I think my goal for 2008 will be to simplify my life. With so much going on at home (homeschool, work for DH and for me), I really feel that getting things simplified will make life easier and more organized. Details to follow.....

Well that's about all from here. I am hoping that after my DH gets home from work today, he'll want to use our Olive Garden gift card and go out to eat. I don't feel like making dinner!;)

Have a great weekend everyone! :grouphug:

Happy new year Tracy
Hope your feeling well soon!
I'm trying to catch up with everyone when i can until i'm back online - but be sure your in my thoughts.

Thanks Tracey!

Happy New Year, everyone!!!1:banana: :cool1: :yay: :cheer2:

Today we all slept in and had a late breakfast. We were going to go to Toys R Us to spend some gift cards, but the weather here is horrible so we decided to stay home. On the agenda? Laundry, Disney planning, games, and movies. :goodvibes

I just want to briefly mention my goals for 2008.I've decided to have monthly goals instead of year long goals. So, here are my goals for January 2008:

Health:
* Exercise 3 days a week
* Eat more fruits and veggies
* Drink more water

Finances:
* Set aside money for property taxes

My big goal for the year is to focus on God more in 2008.

My DH and I haven't had a chance to sit down and come up with our together goals yet...Maybe some time today.

Hope everyone has a blessed day and a wonderful start to 2008!:grouphug:

Happy New Year Tracey!

I'm glad to hear that you are feeling a bit better. This flu is nasty.

I think it is wise to set monthly goals. It is so hard to keep focused on yearlong goals.

Take care,
Beth

Happy New Year, Tracy! Your goals look ambitious enough to be motivating and manageable enough to bring you great satisfaction as you meet them! Looking forward to another year among WISH friends, and I count you as one of my many blessings, today and always!
Hugs!

Hi Tracy! Sorry to hear you guys have been sick! ugh! Hope you are feeling much better by now!

Your goals look awesome! I think it's great to break things down!

Hope you have a great day!!!
Stacie

Thanks Cam and Stacy!

We got a lot of snow yesterday! I'm not sure how much, but it just kept falling and falling yesterday. Glad we stayed home.:goodvibes

Today's Plan:

* Go over new chore responsibilities with my DDs.

* Menu planning for the next couple of weeks.

* Grocery shop?

* Exercise (even if for only 10 minutes)

* Start planning our WDW 2008 trips. I want to get an idea of budget and get the basics planned.

So it looks like today will be a planning day here. Sounds good to me!:thumbsup2

My DDs and I are still sick. This is one tough bug to get rid of! :( I'd say that we're at about 75%. Hopefully, my DH won't get this.

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Happy New Year Tracy!!! I hope that you and your girls continue to feel better! And I really hope that 2008 is a special year for you and your family! :goodvibes

Happy New Year Tracy! Sorry to hear that you and DD are still feeling icky. Here's :wizard: that you get better soon.

I thought about you yesterday watching the news with the storms in Ohio. You have had some pretty amazing weather this winter.

Your goals look very good. Challenging, but nothing you can't accomplish. I still remind myself "baby steps" from your journal title. As much as we would all like to have perfect bodies/finances/lives/etc. It doesn't happen that way. I have to work hard for those things and then appreciate them all the more if and when I acheive them!
