Toystoryduo’s Journal: Baby Steps are the Key... Celebrate Each Victory!

I'm back.....

I figured I should probably get to a few journals this morning because this afternoon is going to be super busy....

I called Disney and had a wonderful CM who was able to get me the ADRs I wanted. So without further ado, here are our new dining plans:

9/16: Eating outside of the world with DH's family (Red Lobster most likely)

9/17: Chef Mickeys Dinner

9/18: Boma Dinner

9/19: Tony's Town Square Dinner

9/20: Cape May Cafe Breakfast/ Cap-n-Jacks Dinner

9/21: Le Cellier Dinner:woohoo:

As for counter service meals and snacks, we don't have that all figured out yet. We have an idea of where we want to go, but nothing really set in stone. We may look our options over sometime this weekend.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but I hurt my leg yesterday. I'm not sure how, but I have pain in my heel, my ankle, and my knee. I don't know how the exercise challenge will turn out because of this. I certainly don't want to aggravate the injury even further and then have issues at WDW. :( We'll have to wait and see what happens....

Okay, off to eat breakfast and start cleaning. :( Have a great Friday!:grouphug:

:grouphug: I'm sorry about your leg, that would certainly put a damper on your trip! I say rest it for sure, you don't want to be limping around the happiest place on earth, would you? :)

I have to tell you about my new favorite snack that I discovered on our last trip. I'm a HUGE dole whip fan, but we were way on the other side of the park when I got my ice cream craving. I tried a vanilla/strawberry sorbet swirl from the Enchanted something or other. It was SOOOOO good. It's a little shop that's near Casey's and the tea cups, sort of off to the side if you were walking between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland towards the castle. Maybe I can find a map. Anywho--so delicious :)

Have a fantastic friday!

Hi Tracy,

How is your knee/ankle this afternoon. I know with your schedule, it is hard to elevate it, but try. That would be a good time to do the WDW planning. Also try some motrin and ice.. Screw the challenge. The most important thing is to remain healthy.
\
Have you tried the new Salmon/grilled shrimp dis at RL?. Yummy!

Take care of yourself,
Beth

Hi Tracy, with the exception of Cap'n Jacks, I have eaten at and enjoyed all of those places. You are going to have some good eating! I hope your leg is better. That is nice that you can fit in some time with family when you are in WDW. I hear you on throwing stuff out that lies on the floor in the kids rooms to be picked up again, and again! I feel like I pick up at least 25 Polly Pocket and Littlest Pet Shop pieces a day! I hope you have a great weekend and that you have time to relax too! WDW is just around the corner for you!:cool1:

Thanks Bekki, Beth, and Amy.:grouphug:

Yesterday was kind of a crazy day. My DH left for Cincinnati with the expectation of being home around 3:00 p.m. Well, he called around 12:30 p.m. and said there was no way. So, I called my friend who I was supposed to meet for dinner and asked if she wanted to come over instead. We cleaned the front room, kitchen and bathroom like crazy before she came over. She stayed for about 2 hours and left. The kids watched part of the Kim Possible marathon for a couple of hours and then DD6 got ready for soccer. DH barely made it home in time to take us to the game....

DD6 scored one goal, but did not play her best. I don't know if she is having issues with some girls on the team or what, but she claimed she was too hot and couldn't play right. This is not like DD6 at all. She was sooooo looking forward to the game because they were playing under the lights. I'm going to talk to her about it today and see what's up.:confused3

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Thursday Morning
Day 46

1. Fitness: 37 workouts totaling 1676 minutes

2. Food: salad: 37 days; 30 days of no eating before bed (does not include today yet)

3. Freeze: 28 days Total amount spent: $258

Today, we have DD5's soccer game (weather permitting) and DH is deejaying. The girls and I will probably watch the High School Musical 2 Dance Along..... We'll see.

Still have lots to do although the to do list is shrinking. Hope everyone has a great weekend! :grouphug:

Hey Tracy--I hope your leg is feeling better today. You should definetely rest it as much as you can, you don't want to make it worse, especially with your big trip around the corner!!

YOu must be soooo excited about your trip!!!! Only one more week and you will be at the Happiest Place on Earth!!!! :cool1: :cool1:

We will be back at WDW at the same time in December..I will be there from Nov. 30-Dec 4,,,we will have to meet up if we can.

Hope you have a nice weekend!

Hi Tracy,

Sounds like a busy day, I love High School Musical (but am bummed Vanessa bared it all in those photos :sad2: ). That is too bad dd didn't have her best night at soccer, sometimes that just happens. You are doing really well with your goals, how's your leg??

You are so close to going to WDW, you must be so excited! Hey I changed my reservation from POR to Pop for next May. I'll be anxious to see how you felt about it, I haven't stayed there in awhile.

Have a great weekend.

P.S. How is your mom doing these days? I am assuming no news is good news!

YOUR TRIP IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SOON! i cant bleive it!!

how is your leg today? i posted "there" but wanted to say hi here too

Hi Tracy,

So how is the leg? We worry you know.

DD and I will be joining you for HSM dance along. I figure I can count it toward one activity point. ;) :dance3:

Don't worry about DDs game. She may have just had an off day. It happens to the best of us.;)

Take care,
Beth

Thanks Amy, Jen, and Beth.:grouphug:

Today has been a long day and it's not over yet! :( DD5's soccer game was at noon, we did some running around, dropped DH off at his friend's house to deejay, went to Goodwill to look for shorts, came home, and ate dinner. What's wrong about that? Nothing except my allergies have kicked into overdrive and I feel terrible. :( It's supposed to rain tonight and tomorrow so hopefully, I start feeling better by Monday.

My DH won't be home until around 1:30 a.m. so I have to find something to keep me busy. I've decided not to clean ( ;) ), but to make travel folders for our girls for the trip. I've been printing out word searches, coloring pages, travel games, e.t.c. that they can play in the car. I'm going to use manilla folders and decorate them with Mickey stickers. I may also surf the DIS as well.:surfweb: My DH and I need to talk about whether or not to go to church tomorrow and a couple of issues that we need to deal with before we leave. Plus, I don't sleep well when he's not home so I may as well stay up and get something done.

Well, I'm off to work on their travel folders.... Have a great evening!:grouphug:

P.S. Thanks for asking about my leg....It's still bothering me quite a bit. When my DH cracked my back today, it felt better for awhile, but is bothering me once again.

:cool1: yay you got your ADR's :yay:
make sure you rest that leg Tracy, gotta be right for WDW!
congrats to DD for scoring that goal :thumbsup2

Hi!!

Boma AND LeCellier?? wow :) Those are two of my favorite places to eat in WDW...I'm jealous! Congrats on getting some great ADR's!!

I hope you have a good week in preparation for your trip....and be sure to take care of that leg.

Oh no Tracy! Wonder what you did to your leg? Do you remember what you were doing the day before? Any changes to your workout routine? Interesting that it's in your ankle, knee and heel. Is it the back of your knee or the front? Anyway...I'm not a doctor but I've dealt with a lot of lower leg problems unfortunately.

How exciting though about your trip being SOOO soon! Wow..you got fantastic ADRs! Le Cellier...YUM!...I've got some fantastic memories from that restaurant  .

Hang in there...I hope your leg heals quickly so you can get back to your workouts and of course feel GREAT for your WDW trip!

Hi Tracy, your travel folders for the girls sound too cute. That will really help keep them occupied and you sane on the road trip down to WDW! Hope your leg is better and that the rest of your weekend went well. Your trip is so close, you must be super excited! Are the allergies better? We had a cold snap which helped mine, maybe you got one too?? I hope today was a good one for you!

Thanks everyone for stopping by!:grouphug:

The past 24 hours have been tough here...Work has been going well, but I have been having a lot of pain on the right side of my body. It's right under the ribs and it hurts like crazy! It makes walking, sitting, sleeping, and working out quite difficult. :( I've had pain like this before and it usually resolves itself in a few days. I'm going to wait until Thursday before scheduling a doctor's appointment. Your prayers would be much appreciated... :grouphug:

50 Day Countdown Challenge through Tuesday Morning
Day 51

1. Fitness: 39 workouts totaling 1736 minutes

2. Food: salad: 41 days; 34 days of no eating before bed

3. Freeze: 28 days Total amount spent: $258

So, my 50 day challenge is over. I didn't quite make the goals I set out to achieve, but as a friend pointed out, strive for progress and not perfection. I did manage almost 1800 minutes of exercise in a little over a month and a half. I did manage to eat quite a few salads which means I was getting extra veggies into my diet. We did manage to stop and think about our spending a bit more, but after looking at the checkbook more carefully, we both realize that we didn't do quite as well as we thought we did. The number listed above is a mere fraction of our spending. We didn't set specific parameters in place other than no eating out which we didn't do too well on and a lot of spending that we classified as "needed" truly was not. Live and learn, right? ;)

Today's Plan:

* NO homeschooling for the rest of the week....We got it all done yesterday so we can relax and get ready for WDW!:cool1:

* Straighten the house up a bit.

* Call to make an appt. to get my haircut tomorrow.

* Pray throughout the day that this pain will go away.....

That's about all from here...Have a good Tuesday! :grouphug:

Huge, huge congrats for your 50 day challenge! (as an aside, I cnnot believe it's been 50 days...time certainly flies :lamo: ) I think the changes you did make are really progress in making lifesyle changes, not just short term ones.

I really, really hope you feel better soon. It's never fun to have weird pain, but even more annoying when you don't know what's causing it or how to fix it! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that you get it figured out before the trip :grouphug:

Have a great day!

Hi Tracy
boy i can relate to the spending - 5 pairs of shoes, 1 dress, 1 skirt & a top all bought in 1 week (last week)!!!!
They are all getting on at me at work!
heck i may be poor but i look good eh ;)
You did amazing with your challenge, well done :)
& so true about not trying to be perfect just better! :)
hope you feel better soon.

Tracy, I think you did quite well with your goals. You did add veggies, pretty much stopped the nighttime eating and you got an idea of spending. Rome wasn't built in a day! You did way better on the money thing than if you had not set that challenge for yourself, so good job!

Congrats on getting done with school a bit early, that takes a ton of pressure off of you. Your trip is going to be so relaxing since you have gotten that accomplished ahead of time. I am so excited for you all, and so envious too!

Give yourself a big pat on the back, your 50 day challenge was a big success as far as I am concerned!:thumbsup2

Gentle  Tracy,

I hope the pain subsides. Do you think you pulled a muscle?

Congratulations on your goals. You made awesome progress. Congrats on finishing the school work. What a relief to cross that off your list.

Take care of yourself.
Beth

:sad2: Oh no Tracy!!! I'm sorry to hear you are in pain :(. Please post and let us know how you are doing? I sure hope whatever is going on subsides quickly so you can fully enjoy your trip to Disney!!! :goodvibes :dust:

And CONGRATULATIONS on your 50 day challenge!!! You did a really super job with all the goals you set. You should be really proud of yourself! :grouphug:
