Thank you, Amy!:hug: That was so nice of you to say that!:goodvibes I needed a little boost today... TOM has me a little off kilter.....

Today looks to be a pretty easy day... Laundry, workout, and invoicing for DH's business. That's it! If my DH gets his paycheck in the mail today, we may go to Cedar Point tomorrow for my DH's Father's Day gift. He hasn't been there since before my DD6 was born and he loves roller coasters so we thought that would make a good gift for him. Plus, we'll celebrate DD6's graduation from kindergarten while we're there as well.:goodvibes

Hope everyone has a great day!:thumbsup2

Hi Tracy, Sorry to be MIA for so long. I really, really like what you have had to say about this being a journey. I wish I had seen the Oprah show with Bob Greene. It sounds like it was really good.

Congrats on 6000 posts!!! I agree with Amy that I bet almost all of them have been positive, sweet posts. You really are a great WISH sis!

I hope you are feeling better soon. Cedar Point would be a fun way to spend Father's Day. Here's :wizard: that it works out.

Hey Tracy-
Hope you were able to get that relaxing in! Cedar Point sounds like fun, many years ago I went there while visiting my Dad in Ohio, we had a BLAST!!!

Your DD's must love the EPCOT units for homeschooling, hope you were able to plan those a little bit.

Hang in there!

Good morning WISH buddies,

Yesterday, we took my DH to Cedar Point for Father's Day and DD6 for her kindergarten graduation. I had a good time, everyone else had a great time. I'm not much of a roller coaster person and I can't ride the kiddie rides like the girls did so I managed to ride three rides: Paddlewheel Excursions, the train, and another ride I forget the name of. My DH who is a roller coaster fanatic had a blast! His favorite was the Top Thrill Dragster... 450 feet in the air, 0-120 m.p.h in 4 seconds and the ride lasts a total of 17 seconds.:scared1: Definitely NOT my cup of tea, but he loved it!

Not much going on today. I need to get my dad's Father's Day gifts and I may hit a few garage sales. I am very sore from all of the walking yesterday (and an intense FIRM workout the day before) so I'm not quite sure how much moving around I will do today. My DH is deejaying tonight so I will probably try working on rewards programs after the girls go to bed for the evening.

Tomorrow, we have church (my 1st time teaching DD4's class in over a year), my DH has to take his uncle to the airport, we'll stop by my dad's for a bit, and then we'll just play it by ear as to what to do the rest of the day.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! :grouphug:

Hi Tracy
I've seen cedar point on the tv, the rides look awesome!!
I used to hate any kind of rollercoaster..until my first trip to WDW & Universal & i thought to myself - i've paid a small fortune to travel to my dream destination, dont know when i'll get to return again, so i swallowed hard & ended up on everything!! & loved it :) (i swore i wouldnt do tower of terror & ended up on it 3 times in a row ;))
Hope you have a great weekend :)

Wow....Cedar Point sounds like fun!!!
DH and I used to be major roller coaster freaks!! First car, hands up....the works!! I still like the roller coasters...but maybe not the 120 in 4 seconds....I'm more of a Goofy's Barnstormer type of girl!!

Glad ya'll had fun...enjoy tomorrow!!!
marie

Glad to hear the family had fun at Cedar Point!! I LOVE roller coasters, so I would have had a blast. Looks like the weekend will be relaxing for you, enjoy that!

We had a very relaxing weekend.:cloud9: It was nice! For Father's Day, my DH went to Cedar Point, got a Ralph Lauren travel bag (For WDW), and got a David Bach book : The Automatic Millionaire Homeowner. He made out like a bandit for Father's Day!:thumbsup2

Did I mention that I am still waiting for my Mother's Day gift? ;) :lmao:

Today's Plan:

* Laundry

* Homeschool

* Workout

* Balance the Checkbook :scared1:

I also need to start re-reding Bob Greene's book for some motivation. I've just been feeling blah about this healthy living journey and just kind of going through the motions.... of overeating that is! :lmao: If I want a decent weigh-in on June 30th, I need to kick things up a bit.

Hope everyone has a great Monday!:cool1:

Tracy -- So glad your family had fun at Cedar Point! DH grew up going there. :goodvibes
I hope you can find some time for yourself, whether it is to read the Bob Greene book or just to have some down-time!
Have a great day, WISH friend! :hug:

Finally I'm back & starting to get caught up! You've been busy the last 5 pages here, Tracy!

I hope you stay feeling better for awhile. Tough being Mom & being sick.

Cedar Point sounds incredible. I wish we were closer as DD is dying to go ride the coasters there.

Hope the van hangs in there. We're so dependent on them & they can be such a pain.

I'll be praying this week goes well for you! How's mom???

Lol. My DH got ripped off on Fathers Day. The wedding kind of took over the weekend. Next year I guess. And I laughed about your Mothers Day gift. Hmnnn....still waiting for mine too. But then I was in Disney world then.

I've never been to Cedar Point and I live close enough to do it as a day trip. I love coasters. I'll have to put it on my "must do" list.

As for motavation...if it weren't for the walking group I'de be in trouble.

Good morning friends,

Sometimes I think the week post TOM can be more difficult than the week pre and during TOM. :( I have had a very hard time finding motivation to eat right and workout. :sad2: I managed to get my FIRM workout in this morning, but it was not one of my better efforts. :( Food so far has been;

B: 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and 1 bowl of raisin bran (weird combination, I know.... needed to get some protein in.)

Lunch will most likely be soup and salad and dinner will be...... ????? Maybe we will go out.

My DH is traveling for work today. He left around 4:00 a.m. and should be home by 4:00 p.m.

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Cedar Point sounds like a blast! Glad you had some much needed fun family time. :wizard: that the van hangs in there. My van has 120k on it. DH was talking last week about thinking about replacing it - not in the budget, this one needs to hang in there for another year or so!

Bob Greene is good for motivation. :wizard: that you can find yours.

Thanks Anna.:hug:

I am still frustrated with my exercise and eating habits this week. The thing that bums me out the most is that I enjoy exercising, but can't seem to get back on track with it....Even with the new FIRM system.:sad2: I'm very frustrated with my lack of motivation right now.:confused3

Not much planned for the day... DH will be in Pittsburgh for a couple of jobs. The girls and I may go for a walk to the park.

I've got to get out of these blahs soon.....:confused:

Hi Tracy

:hug: Don't beat yourself up sweetie. Just look at each new day as a fresh start and full of possibilities. If you are able to work out then awesome...if it doesn't happen, just move on. Telling yourself how bad you are doing is just not good for you :(. Try to stay positive (I know...it's SOOO hard believe my Itotally understand that). I just know you can get yourself into a good routine if you give it a few weeks. Hang in there and do the best you can. The eating will follow along with the exercise. You're doing pretty good with that in my opinion! It's always difficult in the summer with holidays, BBQ, parties, etc. Seems to me you are making good decisions with your food nearly all the time. And it is OK to enjoy yourself once in a while ;).

Have a great week Tracy! Best of luck with your Firm Series. I know that program is good.

I am with you on lacking motivation! I just can't pull it back together.

Hang in there, tho, WE can do this!!

Hope today goes well!

I wonder what it is about this week that is trowing us all off. So strange!

Your motivation will come back and then you'll kick some butt :)

OUT DAMN BLAH'S ...OUT!!!!
(you know...like "out damn spot, out?)
Sorry you are having trouble staying motivated....I think it's the time of year. We've all busted but trying to lose weight in the spring, now it's summer and who cares anymore? I'm having a hard time with the motivation right now too.

Have a great weekend and hang in there....the motivation will come back!!!

marie
