Congrats on DH's call back. Here's that it all went well.

God has a plan.....

Remember my 14:14 "coincidence" from last week? I had another one yesterday! Earlier this week, I was trying to do my devotions and I was really struggling. I said, "Okay, Lord. I'm getting frustrated. Just give me a verse that will help. Any verse." The verse? James 3:7.... Fast forward to yesterday's sermon. One of the associate pastors at church was preaching because our pastor is on vacation. His message was on judging others and the words we speak. Do you know what one of the verses was that he used in his message? James 3:6! I know it's not exactly the same verse, but he said that he had been working on this message for 2 months! Isn't it amazing how God's timing puts things together? In any event, I just thank God for the affirmation that I received yesterday even if the affirmation means I need to make some changes in my life.

Today's plan....

Work! (2:30-7:30 p.m.)

Go grocery shopping

Relax

DH's first night on his temporary job is this evening. He is pretty close to home and will be working 11:00 p.m.- 7:00 a.m. It means some adjustment for our family, but with God's help, we can do it!

In regards to his job search.... He had his second and third interviews with the one company on Friday. Then, he had to complete some assessments online. So, he will be waiting to hear back from them. Also, he may have up to 3 interviews this week with other companies, including the one that he really wants. Please keep your prayers and good thoughts for my family coming. We are really trying to get back on track in so many different ways and look forward to a time when we will come out ahead. Thank you!

It is amazing how the Lord works, isn't it? Every once in a while you'll just be going along, living your life, and something will come up to just knock you down in awe. It's really powerful...

Last night was a bit tougher than I expected it to be.... My girls were upset that daddy had to work and it took over 2 hours to calm them down and get them to sleep. I woke up this morning not feeling well and tired. Hopefully, I can get a nap in before work tonight.

I am really hoping we get some excellent news this week concerning DH's job search....

I hope you got a nap in today and that tonight goes better for you and your girls. DH has always travelled a lot for work, but it still gets to our DD's sometimes when he is not around. Hang in there and something good will come for your family.

Thanks for your words of encouragement..... I needed to hear them this morning.

The past couple of days have been tough. We are still waiting to hear from these companies that my DH interviewed with. I don't understand why this process takes so long. He is actively seeking another job on third shift... He does not like the temp job at all. The person that recruited him for the job stretched the truth (a lot!) about this job and it is not what my DH thought it would be at all.

I'm trying to hold things together, but it's hard.... I'm in the DZone right now (PMS) and my emotions are up and down like a roller coaster. Add in the fact that I am still sick and sometimes I just can't think straight.

Yesterday, I rode my bike for 30 minutes, I walked for 30 minutes and I cut the grass for 75 minutes. By the end of the day, I was exhausted and had a horrible headache to boot. I didn't get anything else done yesterday and the house is a mess. I need to clean today.

I'm sorry to sound so negative today....

Tracy I am so sorry that you are still not feeling well. That always makes everything else look worse. Waiting to hear from companies is really hard, but good for your DH to keep actively pursuing other options. I am sorry that the temp job is not what he thought it would be, but at least it is only temp. Something better will come along . Hang in there!

Tracy: I know something with your husband's job is about to work out soon! That is a bummer that his temp job was not honestly presented. That is very unfair to do that to someone, especially someone with a family to support. I am sorry you are not feeling well, I hope today got better as it wore on and that tomorrow is even better. Don't worry about sounding negative, sometimes you need to vent a bit and you can be Suzie Sunshine every minute of every day! Good luck and God Bless!

Good morning,

I finished laundry a day early! Usually, Thursday is my laundry day, but I decided to do it yesterday since I have to work today. Now all I have to do is put it all away!

Today's Plan:

* Work (5-9:30 p.m.)

* Go to the neighbor's garage sale

* Relax

* Pray (a lot!)

The last 24 hours have really been challenging for me. Thank God that I have a DH who is very grounded, laidback, and practical. After stressing most of the night away, he came home and talked to me this morning and eased my mind a bit. What a great guy!

I appreciate your continued prayers and good thoughts..... We both know that God has a plan... We're just waiting for it to unfold.

My DH just got a call about an hour ago.... The job that he really wants called him in for an interview! When he went to this place to apply a few weeks ago, they made him take a lot of aptitude tests and the person administering the test said that he got a really high score. Then, we heard nothing for two weeks. Last Thursday, they called and said that they were forwarding his resume to the hiring managers and today, they called him for an interview! It's scheduled for next Wednesday @ 1:00 p.m. Please continue sending lots of prayers, good thoughts, and his way.....

Thanks Anna! My Dh is 1 of 4 people interviewing for this job. We are praying that he gets it!

Today is a relaxed day for us. DH is off tonight, we are going to dinner with my parents, and I will be getting my 1st and 2nd paychecks from work! Woohoo!

Please continue sending your good thoughts and prayers my DH's way..... This job would allow him to work Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and have the rest of the week off. Full time + benefits for 36 hours of work per week. He asked the HR person how many people are interviewing for this job and she said 4. I am praying that my DH knocks their socks off and gets this job.This would be a huge boost for him and for our family.
