Wouldn't it be cool if they didn't really retheme StarTours, but made it the gateway to StarWars land so instead of being let out into the store, you were let out into StarTours land after "truly" having ridden in the spacecraft TO StarWars Land?!?

It would have been cool, but obviously not possible with them deciding to keep Muppets. And they would have needed to buy a lot more simulators to handle the crush of people (plus you have to think of the return trip for guests exiting taking up half the capacity). Still it would have shown a nice bit of storytelling similar to the old hydrolators you would take to "get down" to Seabase Alpha and then again to "return to the surface".
