Can anyone tell me some of the huge toys that are in the queue of Toy Story Mania? And what the story is behind the attraction? I think it's something about Andy's toys setting up a circus or something? Thanks!

there is an animated HUGE Mr.Potato head tht actually interacts with the ppl waiting in like (which really passes time . he is HILARIOUS :lmao: ).. there is a giant Candy Land board/pieces, TinkerToys, just EVERYTHING kid-toys.. totally awesome. haha

Now I want to go on that ride even more! Is that 5 minutes standby?! No way right?

The story is that you are going into Andy's room - that's all the big toys in the queue. The ride is a Midway Mania game that Andy has set up - you can see the game box on the wall when you are loading.

it's the toys that are holding the carnival under andy's bed.

 looks like the queue itself is really entertaining. Really hope we can go on this ride in March with somewhat low lines. Either that or be fast enough to get a fast pass.

i n this case he regular queue is really worht seeing, IMO. Most folks overlook Mr. Potatohead, but he is sort of like Crush in Turtle talk. (Secretly, I think he can go both in an interactive mode and an automated mode) Many fokls walkingby thou don't realize that he is interactive, so it's kind of hoot. If he calls for folks in line to do something, it pays to listen and respond to him! Once he called out, "Whose your favorite toy?"

I think the idea is that when you enter the queue you are being shrunk to the size of a toy. Many toys are popular kids' toys. for some reaosn, I also really like the Little Golden Book at the end of the ride. It's classic Disney attention to detail.

Oh, and there are several hidden Mickeys! I found several of them myself, but ti takes a sharp eye.

The one downside is that some disturbing folks have already felt the need to deface the line queue with grafitti! UGH! pirate: pirate:

I found the queue to be rather detailed. The few times we went on we waited a while and got a good look at everything. I will tell you you won't be bored waiting for this ride. It was so nostaglic to see the old toys.

mr. potatohead is based on technology developed for roz in DCA's monster's inc ride. they had don rickles record all the lines and he has a CM that operates him that can choose from a series of phrases and piece them together to talk and address certain guests in the queue based on age/gender/clothing type of thing. unfortunately his pieces are rather long (particularly when he breaks into song) so he's not quite as fun as he could be. conversely, roz addresses each car as it passes by her so she has a shorter time window to address particular guests and she's not entertaining a crowd either.
