When it comes to mpg everybody tells me the 4x4 tacoma is bad but if we can get 17 mpg I will be happy. I went and picked up the tacoma today and we keep it a few hours and then took it back. We like it better then the FJ. Now it all comes down to the money.

Lone-star: I traded my Honda CRV with 210,000 miles in on a Honda Pilot. I live on the southwest side of Fort Worth and work near 635@MacArthur... about 94 miles round trip through metroplex traffic. I get 23+ mpg commuting. I had to take the Aliner camper to a dealer east of Gainesville several weeks ago and got 20.5 mph! Very nice. I'm very pleased with my Alabama built Honda.

Well we bought a Toy Taco 4 door 4x4
(some people know them as a toyota tacoma) Its a nice truck. I can't believe I like it. Thanks for all the replies.

I am happy. Hwy/city mix driving 18.2 mpg. May get better when the DW drives.
