Toyota owners - how old is your car/truck?

I'm driving a 2000 Sienna that I bought a year ago. 85,000 miles. My passenger side power door gives me trouble (doesn't want to close), but that's it so far (keeping fingers crossed and knocking wood). :goodvibes

DH has a 1994 Avalon that has 152,000 miles on it. The outside of the car looks great. The interior is starting to show some wear and tear. He plans to replace it within the next year with a new Avalon.

We love our Toyota! :thumbsup2

I have a 2001 Solara with 53K miles. It looks like I'll have it for a long time to come.

How often do you guys do maintenance, and what kind?

I have an '05 Scion in great shape-- no troubles. I'm at 55,000 and have never done any maintenance on it other than regular oil changes and new brakes. Do I really need to do the comprehensive maintenance/service check the dealer keeps reminding me about? It seems so expensive!

My driveway has my 92 Corolla (which hubby has taken away from me as his commuter car :rotfl2:), my 2001 Camry and hubby's 2008 Sienna. In all fairness the Corolla was "resurrected" after I blew the engine in 2005. My first car was a 78 Corolla bought very, very used that I drove for over 8 years.

I'd like a Rav 4, but I figure the Camry has another 8 years or so in it.

1998 Sienna 170,000
2002 Avalon 93,000
2005 Lexus 36,000

1998 Volvo 130,000

We have a 2006 Camry with close to 50,000 miles on it. This is our third Camry and they've all been great cars. Routine maintenance will keep them going forever. We have decided we need a van for carrying my music equipment so we may go today to look at a Toyota Sienna.

George, good luck looking at your Sienna. My husband opted for this vehicle due to my good service from my Toyotas and his unfortunate luck with multiple GM vehicles. We have always been used car people, but went with a new Sienna. A don't know which you prefer, but we found that the Siennas that were only one or two years old had high mileage and were only a couple of thousand dollars less than the new. We did go with a basic model, but have been happy with it. I can adjust and arrange the seats fairly easily. I don't know if it is important to you, but the back seat can comfortably seat a large adult--many mini vans and cross-overs can't. It is a nice vehicle. I still want a Rav 4 though. ;)

We have 3 Toyotas. An '85 truck, a '95 Forerunner and a 2002 Camry. They have all been great vehicles. The Forerunner has over 200,000 miles on it.

My BIL has a truck that is probably an '82, a Corolla station wagon that is from the 80's and they are both still on the road.

My mom's friend has a Corona still on the road. It is ancient.

1993 Corolla with 216,000 miles and still going strong. Never has had a a major problem. Only routine maintainance has been required such as changing the timing belt at 150k miles. Averages 28 mpg. :thumbsup2

It was paid off 11 years ago, and at one time that car was the only thing I had of value. It got me through some really rough times so my dh and I have kept it to get us through the good times now. I'm very sentimentally attached to it. :)

We have a 1999 Toyota 4Runner with 160,000+ miles. It still looks great, except the metal bumper on the back is rusty....otherwise I don't think anyone would guess it is 10 years old. I drive it daily and it has survived New England winters all these years.

Well, we went to the Toyota dealer today and just came back with a new Sienna! My equipment is loaded and I'll be taking it up to Dunnellon this evening to play for the "Jazz Up Dennellon" street festival (if it doesn't rain). :thumbsup2

I have a 2002 Tundra with 119,000 on it. Just did the timing belt and water pump. This truck is still as tight as the day I bought it. Before that I had a Toyota T100 and I put 189,000 on that before I sold it on ebay for $6,500 in less than 24 hours. I want to put at least 250,000 on this truck.

Enjoy your new Sienna and have fun "jazzing up" the festival!

I traded in a 1993 Corolla a few years ago with close to 300,000 on it for a whopping $75.

My husband's 2000 Corolla has 140,000 and my 2003 Echo has about 44,000 on it

they are pretty sweet

We currently have two Siennas, one a 2000 with 110,000 miles on it and the other a 2006 with 50,000 miles on it. We also had a Corolla, one Tacoma when we thought we might want a pickup truck (we found out we weren't truck people), two Coronas (one only lasted 9 months before it was totalled in a head on collision). When we were talking to our guy at our local Toyota dealership about trading in the older Sienna, he said we probably have at least another 10+ years on it.

2008 Scion = 39,000 miles
2007 Sienna = 36,00 miles
2006 Rav4 = 40,000 miles

This is our 2nd Sienna, we have also owned 2 Toyota trucks and a Camary. We love our Toyotas! Unfortunately, their sales staff does not get great ratings for customer service, but we love our local dealer!

In 2007 I was in a car accident and totaled my 2000 Sienna. I broke 3 ribs and was miserable! We went car shopping and DH was dead set on another Sienna. We shopped around under the "better hurry and buy before your lose your rental" pressure. I had researched pricing fair extensively and LOVE negotiating for buying a car. I figure that when they have to chase you out in the parking lot to bring you back in to buy, then you know you have a good sale!!! :thumbsup2

Finally we found one that was due in port the next week. Our sales guy knew I was not feeling well and came back to the table with a number that was $37 more than what I wanted to pay. I about fell out of my chair! It was awesome! The dealership also gave us a loaner for free until the new van arrived.

Anyone old enough to remember those commercials with Toyota owners answering the question, "What where you doing when your Toyota hit 100,000 miles (or 200,000 miles...and so on)?" I LOVED those commercials! My 1st Toyota was a truck in college, I don't even think it had a name. I was driving my boyfriend to get parts for his Chevy when my truck rolled over to 100,000 miles...hehe...at that moment, I was sold on Toyotas! ;)
