Toy Story

Not that I've heard. We were there in June (just opened), early November and late December and I think it was continuing to get worse throughout the year, especially the FP line at park opening.

Does anyone know if the lines for this ride have shortened since it opened?

No, I was just there recently and there was a huge crowd at rope drop that went straight to toy story. But since we got to the park at 8:20 for a 9 o'clock opening we had no trouble getting 2 sets of FP. One set that we ended up giving away after they ran out. But shortly after park opening the standby line was up to close to 90 minutes and it just got worse during the day. Fast Passes were all out by 11/12 o'clock and this was during the slow season.

On Wednesday Jan. 21, we went to TSM right after rope drop and rode standby - the line was about 10 minutes, practically a walk-on - and grabbed a pair of FPs that were for 11:30 - 12:30 a few mintues after we got off. I can't remember if there were any FPs left when our return time rolled around. I think the stand by time then was 55 minutes.

Wow! It is a fun ride but why in the world? I guess Soarin' still has huge lines so it takes time for them to no longer be "new".

Thanks!

When we went in December we arrived too late for fast passes. I don't mind waiting in line so much as I hate wasting valuable park time, so what we did is we got in line five min. before park closing time and just waited it out. It ended up being almost 45 min., but since there was nothing else we could do besides leave it didn't seem so bad.

The funny thing is that Soarin' has really picked up over the last couple years. When we went in early fall '06, it was not unusual to almost walk right on to Soarin', no matter the time of day. In mid-fall '08, it was rare for the Soarin' standby line to be less than a reported 40 minutes.

TSMM and Soarin' are great attractions, granted, I'm just not sure why they're so much more wildly popular than everything else at their respective parks.

Was there on Sunday Jan 25. We were there for rope drop and I was 7th in line for the FP machine! FP were gone by 2:00pm. Standby was 60' most of day. Get FP early.
