I got this from Mouseplanet.

Diamond Dust at the Magic Kingdom – After a 32-year run, the Diamond Horseshoe Saloon closed on Saturday, February 1. A new character show, possibly featuring the Toy Story characters, is expected to open by Summer 2003.

It seems that Florida executives have gone character-mad in recent years, creating new "rubber-head" shows and character dining opportunities at a breathtaking pace. Unfortunately, progress comes at a price, and WDW veterans are mourning the loss of yet another classic attraction.

With current WDW marketing campaigns playing the nostalgia card in such a heavy-handed manner, it would be nice if returning guests could actually recognize the park when they arrive.

This is old news, I'm afraid. Check out this link to a thread on this board called "Diamond Horseshoe Closes"

oops, I guess it is.
I heard Diamond horsehoe was closing but hadn't heard anything about the Toystory theme.

Wouldn't it make more sense to put a Toy Story show at Disney Studios recently vacated Backlot Theatre?
The characters can be found at Al's Toy Barn's facade not too far from it anyway. Lots of room and they could have a whole Toy Story area.
I just don't see how the Diamond Horseshow's square footage and design can be real conducive for a stage show with characters who have such large costumes.

Will be interesting to see what actually does go in both places.
As long as something is in both by 2004--I'm happy !!
