Toy Story Mania to hard for a for a six year old?

My four year old dd loved it and no one in our group including the grandparents mentioned sore arms.

My son's first time playing was when he was not yet three. He had so much fun and still does and he will be 6 this summer. He will tell you it's one of his favorites.

It's almost my dh & my favorite ride. My arm does get very tired, especially at the last game when you score continuously, but having said that, we go as often as we can. Usually get FP first, then get in line first thing. The line moves quickly early as there are no FP line feeders :thumbsup2 I've never seen a child not like it. If they get upset if they don't beat another's score - then that's another whole different story. We've always taught "no sore losers" in any games. :goodvibes

My dd4 has become a "sore loser". I can't say I blame her though - you can only ride that thing so many times before you get tired of never winning....:rotfl2: Even when we all throw the game - there is no guarantee if there are other people in the other car. She can usually break 75K on her own and I don't think she's ever won. :headache:

Given I am not a CM and don't have a partner to set me up - I can usually score around 250K - 280K on my own, but I've started to feel guilty since it doesn't usually give anyone else a chance to win (especially dd4). I swear though - she gets her competitive side from her dad :littleangel:

My husband and I took our 3 y/o grandson down there this past Feb. He loved Toy Story and insisted on riding it several times that week. While we were waiting in line the first time, we asked him who he wanted to ride with and he said me. I told him since his grandfather was bigger than both of us, that we'd combine our score and see if we could beat him. He loved that idea and used it all week. He got off laughing and crowing that we had beat Bopop. The other three times we rode it, he took turns riding with both of us and still got off crowing that the combined score beat whoever he was playing against.:rolleyes1:rotfl::rotfl: He didn't care less that his score was actually less than both of ours, he was just excited that whoever he was playing with beat the other grand parent (when you added his score to it).:rotfl:

My twins have been going on TSM since they were 2. It is one of their favorite rides. She will love it and you will too. Super fun. Have a great trip!

We play it all the time on our WII. My son loves the game. What's great is I was very close to the highest score for the day when I played it last time. Mostly because I had played the home version so much I knew a lot of the secrets.

I am going to show my three year old daughter how to play it so she knows what she is doing when we go there next month.

We took my 3 year old niece last year and it was her favorite ride so we rode it several times. On the last day, we let her choose the park we would visit and she chose Hollywood Studios just to ride it more!

I have never been on Toy Story Mania but I have heard a lot of talk about how tired your arm gets playing. My daughter is 6 years old and I wonder if she will have a hard time playing and just get frustrated. I do not want to invest the time and energy to ride if she will have a hard time actually playing.
I would appreciate any feedback, Thank you for your time.

Definitely not. If you are a very serious gamer, your arm can get tired, but usually you have "downtime" so-to-speak in between each of the scenes or games where you spin around a little which I'm sure she would enjoy just as much as the game itself. Your daughter will absolutely LOVE TSMM! The only thing you have to worry about are the lines for it, so get to the park early for some Fast Passes and maybe a quick ride. :thumbsup2

Depends on the kid. Your average first-grader can whip my butt at Buzz Lightyear any day.

DD was five when we rode it & she didn't complain about it being hard. I'd say you're good to go.

My super uncoordinated DS has been playing it since he was 3, your 6 yr old should be fine.

The arm tiredness and soreness is an adult gripe, the motion is simply not something most do in their regular lifes and doing that repeatedly for even just 5 minutes can cause some pain at the furious rate the competetive adults (like me and my DH) do it. I have ridding TSM a hundred times and never heard a kid (mine or otherwise) complain of arm pain.

My 3 year old loves it and has been playing for awhile. Even my 18 month old loves going along on the ride. He loves the spinning and just watching. Whoever holds him has to share their gun with him though because he likes to try and pull on the string too.

I think anyone who likes Toy Story will love the ride! It's a lot of fun, and my arm just aches when I play. Although, that might be because I try to shoot as fast as I can through the whole ride. Get there early and grab a fast pass before you hop in the standby line, you'll enjoy it so much that you'll want to ride it twice!
