Here is an onride video of Toy Story Mania the Florida version. Now I don't know if the DCA one is gonna be different or not, but for those who want to check it out here's the link to view the video. After viewing this video, I can certainly say that I'm not really impressed with the ride that much. Buzz looks way better if you want to compare the two.

I think it looks pretty cool...I'm looking forward to it.

it's alright, i guess but i was really expecting something different and something better and more exciting then buzz.

couldnt agree more, it does look a bit lame, but who knows, i could be totally wrong.

well another problem is I don't know if the ride at DCA is gonna be different from the one at WDW. Guess we're just gonna have to wait and see.

It looks cool but I cannot have any idea how it "really looks" without the
3-D glasses.I am reserving judgement til I am hopefully drawn for the AP sneek preview ;)

I've been reading the thread regarding this ride on the WDW board, and the few people who have pre-viewed it said it is different and more exciting.:confused3 . They also said it goes somewhat fast and spins you around quite a bit; I'm just hoping I don't sick on the darn thing!:rotfl:

I'm hoping it will be better than what the video shows. Maybe 3d glasses will help

Hmm. Well I guess we have to consider that when you're the one who is actually PLAYING the game and wearing the 3D glasses, it should probably be more fun than watching a video of it.

However, it still looks disappointing. Does Disney think the only way to entertain people these days (mainly kids) is to make a hyperactive video game ride? I'm disappointed that the whole ride is nothing but tv screens. At least the Buzz ride has real sets. They could make a "Toy Story Mania!" game for the Wii and it would be the same thing! Not what I expect for a major Disney theme park attraction.

i'm sure they will, be i don't know how much it will help. the ride looks a little dull to me, buzz just looks overall like a way better ride.

I know someone who has been lucky enough to get a very early sneak peek on DL one and thinks it is sooooo much better than Buzz. The 3D glasses do make a total difference and the video on you tube can't and doesn't show how the ride REALLY is.

It looks cool to me! I hope its open June 29! I bet the line will be pretty long.

The queue looks pretty cool, so does the moving Mr. Potato head. The ride, ehhh.. Hopefully the one at DCA is a bit different.. But I bet it is a lot cooler in person with the 3D glasses on..

I know my DD is really looking forward to riding the Toy Story ride when we visit in October. She and I just watched this video and she was screaming out the characters names. She loves the Buzz ride, has announced it's the first ride she wants to go on. I think the Toy Story ride will be fun because she'll be thrilled with it!

I don't know, I think it looked pretty neat. Probably way better in person, with the 3D glasses on. I'm still hopeful for a chance at a soft opening when were there in a week. One can hope!

i like to take my comment back from what i said before. Its FREAKIN FUN! WAAAAAY better than Buzz. Few reasons why, its more fair. It wont slow down because of handicap people AND it games timed at like 30 secs a piece. If there is time to kill, it still lets you shoot but the scores are all zero. practice you know. :) Its one of the best rides ive ever rode. I have already rode it like 4-5 times. Whats nice is that the gun is connected to the restraint, to the lower it goes, the lower the gun goes, so your kids can reach it! :)

you guys will love it! :)

FYI, the WDW is the same as DL, the paths might be different though.

Theres a few things i dont like the ride. The way you shoot is kinda retarded and it will get a very bad name for it. The Spinning parts are very uncomfortable.

This is shyboy72's fiancee and his mom bought me The Unofficial Guide to Disneyland 2008 (I also own the previous year's guide); it has a very in depth description of the ride. I don't want to give it away because I think its better to experience it for yourself. I personally didn't watch the youtube video because I want to experience it brand new when I'm at Disneyland. Based on the description from the book, people have to understand that the ride is intended for kids and adults. Also the story itself has to do with toys. These toys which are associated with games. It completely makes sense to make the ride game interactive.

I think the whole experience sounds amazing and I am sooooo stoked to be there in the summer !
