For past DVC previews did you need to have a DVC reservation or just any on site reservation? We are planning a few days after a cruise in the middle of June. We are deciding to stay on site or off site since we haven't decided if we are going to the parks. Our APs will have expired by June but if we could luck into a preview we would consider buying park tickets.

IIRC, it could be any on-site reservation for the DVC Pandora Preview. The preview was considered part of the "Membership Extras" and required either a direct purchase or resale prior to 4/4/2016 to be able to register.

Somewhere in another thread there is a link to how they did it for Pandora. It said you must be staying on points during that time and would including any family/friends who are part of the reservation. Think they had 1 DVC and 3 AP previews per day.

We attended a DVC preview for Pandora. We were staying at Pop. The only requirement was an onsite reservation, it didn’t have to be at a DVC resort.
