I was wanting to know if anyone has used one of these http://www.dometicusa.com/awnings.php?product=81 and if so are they worth the money or just a big pain.

I used to want one of those on my Tailgator but decided against it for 2 reasons.

One was my drop door had squared off sharp edges that I just know would have sliced somebody up and 2 is it's easier to just get a screen room. How much time without a/c will you really spend in that space? I'm sure the newer TH's have rounded doors but be careful if it doesn't and you buy this.

We had looked into getting it, but like Donnie said, our door isn't rounded and we have a kickplate that flips down that is brutal. I could just see one of the girls slicing themselves with it. Also, with that open your AC will escape so what's the point, plus, for us anyway, we would have to take it down at night. I think setting up a screen tent would be easier.

I won't know if mine has square or round edges until next week. But you can zip the screen part of it closed so I figured whats the difference between that and a hybrid or a pop up with keeping the a/c on. Ours will come with a screen wall but I thought that was neat because you would get more space.
