Check out the 9/17 edition of All Ears, the weekly newsletter from Deb Wills site. I'm pretty sure she quotes our own Towncrier talking about seeing the Liberty Square towncrier on his vacation this summer.

I can't figure out how to link to the newsletter itself. I already deleted the one that was emailed to me. If anyone else can link to the actual newsletter, that would be great.

Thanks Big V, I knew someone smart Diser would come through.

Somewhere I have a photo floating around of me and the Liberty Square Town Crier from our July vacation that I'll have to try to remember to post.

I knew it was you. There are not many Towncriers out there who are really towncriers in Ohio. Now you're famous!

As I think I mentioned in the other thread, this is actually the 2nd time that Deb Wills has published one of my "letters" in her newsletter. I have been trying to meet Deb for the past couple of years. We've been at WDW at the same time, but our paths haven't crossed (yet).

If you haven't subscribed to "All Ears", you might want to consider dropping by Deb's site to signup for her newsletter. The articles are very informative and entertaining.

Nice news item John!!!!!!!! :bounce:
After reading the September Bits and Bites item that mentioned
the Magic Kingdom's Town Crier walk around character, John Hayes
writes: I go by the name "Towncrier", and since I get to ply my
trade as a Town Crier at the Yankee Peddler Festival (in Ohio)
each year, I am very aware of any Town Criers who happen to pass
my way. We were in Liberty Square at the Magic Kingdom this past
July and imagine my shock and surprise when I saw a Cast Member
dressed in colonial clothing carrying around a big bell. He never
actually rang the bell, nor did he "cry", but I did manage to get
a picture taken with him. Just bumping into him made my day at
the Magic Kingdom a bit more magical.

How cool! I didn't connect this when I read it. (Duh!) But, it made me think of our Towncrier...I just didn't know it WAS him!!

I agree about that newsletter. I print a lot of them out and save the pages into a folder for helpful hints etc. and then I take them wityh me on trip and read in the plane or car. I also do that with some threads here also. They are fun and helpful!

I guessed it was the same TC! All Ears also provides a great "Disney fix" in your inbox!! I save it to read when I get annoyed at work!!

I've never signed up for the newsletter but this motivated me to finally do so. I don't know why I waited for so long since I love wdwig. I can't wait to read the article!
