How far in advance do you book and which company would you recommend using (for 3 adults). Thanks!

We use Lansky. I just confirmed ours last week which was about 2 weeks out. Usually I book a bit sooner...6weeks or so.

Thanks! We aren't planning to go until the end of Nov/early Dec, but I like to plan ahead and was trying to get an idea of the cost. I'll check them out.

How much does car service usually cost? Is it 'flat rate' or per person?

I've used shuttle services before, but never a towncar service.

I'm interested in this as well. It will be for 2 adults, 2 teens and 1 preschooler. The appeal of not needing a car seat is nice. Were going to rent a car, but debating that now (as not needed...)

It was $95 from lax to Disneyland and $85 from Disney to lax
Includes a grocery stop, all taxes, and gratuity. They also provide a car seat or booster upon request.

I booked Super Shuttle a few days ago for this coming Saturday. Two people, two bags from LAX to Holiday Inn one block from Disneyland was $64 round trip.

But that's a shared ride service, right? I did Super Shuttle from LAX to Motel 6 last week - every time I take a shared ride service I end up cursing myself for not booking a private transfer because it's eating into my Disney time!

I don't think it will cost me that much Disney time. The cost is less than a one way private ride. It's all about priorities I guess...

But, if you have more than 2 people I think the cost difference between private and shared might not be that much, making the private one much more desirable.

I was off the plane, through customs and immigration with my bags collected by around 8.15am. By the time I had walked to the super shuttle customer service area, waited around half an hour for the shuttle, and then dropped several people off at other hotels before I got to mine, it was 11.30am before I got to the parks. A private car service would have met me at the exit, the drive takes around an hour - I would have been in the parks by 10am. An hour and a half might not be much Disney time to you, but it's a fair bit to me - especially in the morning when it starts to get really busy around 11am!

Used Lansky today based on recommendations on these boards. I booked about 4 weeks out and prepaid. Great experience. Driver was waiting for us at baggage claim, helped with bags, gave us bottled water in the car and a 20 minute grocery stop at Target(wouldn't be my first choice but we got what we needed). Tip is included but DH can't help himself and tipped $20. If you are not familiar with LA and the traffic, be prepared for fast driving on 6 and 7 lane highways. I mean EVERYONE was driving at least 75 mph, weaving in and out of traffic. Our driver was great and stayed in the commuter lane but I'm glad I don't need to get in a car for several days. I'm also glad we decided to use a car service instead of a rental car. We would still be trying to reach DL.

1800 4 my taxi has flat rate from LAX to hotels for $88 with flyer from their website.
