We are leaving for our first trip to WDW with kids in 2 weeks. SO EXCITED!!!!
We have decide to NOT use the Magic express shuttle and have a car service pick us up.
We are mostly doing this because we want to stop at a grocery store for some milk, etc..
Anyone have a recommendation on a wonderful car company to use that will stop at the store for no extra charge?? :earsgirl:

I've never used a car service, but I know that most or all offer a free grocery stop.

I'm just saying this next thing in case you didn't realize; I'm not trying to change your mind if you already know the following information. There are several ways to get groceries delivered to your WDW resort. The advantage to this is saving time (not having to make the actual grocery stop), espcecially with Gooding's (www.goodings.com), because unless I'm mistaken, they're the only delivery service that you don't have to wait for and be present for the actual grcoery delivery (they deliver to Bell Services, who will even keep your cold stuff cold until you're ready for your delivery).

The disadvantage to any delivery service is that there's a delivery fee, plus an optional tip for the delivery person.

I've used Tiffany Towncar twice and it included a complimentary grocery stop both times. Once we stopped at Publix, and the other time we had to stop at Goodings because it was very late and Publix had closed. Goodings is definitely more pricey, but I was still glad for a stop there.

I think that a grocery stop is pretty standard for the towncar companies. I understand that Tiffany is under new management, but I've read good reviews since that happened.

Good luck and have a great trip! :)

I would second Tiffany Town Car...we used them for our June trip based upon a recommendation from my Dsis...we loved them! We were taken to the Publix and found it to be a very nice store...easy to find the things we wanted. I would suggest making a grocery list before you leave so you're not wasting time searching around the store for items. We loved the service so much that we're using them again for our Christmas trip!

Have a magical time!

I have used Tiffany Town car and Quicksilver and both have been great, reasonably priced and offered the grocery stop. I had my list ready by category and even though I didn't know the store it was quick. A couple of times the driver gave me his frequent shopper card to save a bit of $ on my order.

This time we are trying ME with grocery delivery by wegoshop. For the cost of the order plus a small fee I can have everything delivered. So far all the contact with wegoshop has been great and my package should be waiting for me when I arrive at AKL or shortly thereafter.

i echo the "use DME and order the groceries to be delivered" sentiments... even w/a small fee for delivery, it will be less expensive than a towncar...

We used Tiffany several times and always had a grocery stop. Just make sure you request it when you make your reservation so that they can schedule the drivers accordingly. A few times the driver gave us his club card to save a few dollars.

Be careful with FL Tours. If your flight is more than 30 minutes late, they do not guarantee a grocery stop. Our flight was 20 minutes late and our driver gave us a hard time about the grocery stop. That was the whole reason we took the town car over DME, was for the groceries, so there is no way I would have taken the towncar if he wouldn't have allowed us the stop.

Thanks for the Delivery tip!! I had no idea there was such a service. I will definitely be rethinking the whole town car vs. DME thing. Sounds like for the cost of the towncar, we could save a few bucks and just have groceries delivered and use the free DME! Thanks again!

We used Tiffany Town car and had a horrible experience with them. The woman they sent for us pretended like she didnt know that the grocery stop was included and then proceeded to argue with me that she could only go to Goodings and not Publix as it was too far out of HER way! When I told her I was calling her manager, she changed her nasty tune. She sat impatiently in the car and said we only had 30 minutes and no longer. I called her manager and said I never wanted to see her again as she was the rudest thing I ever met, and of course they sent HER back to us on our last day to the airport,if i didnt have a plane to catch I would never have gotten in the car with her. But i didnt let her ruin our vacation fun, we laughed at the situation, and didnt give her a tip. I will never use Tiffay again, next time we rent a car!

Yep, the $100+ you will pay for towncar service will pay for several cab rides to the grocery store; or a two-day rental car rented on-site; or the small grocery delivery fee from Goodings.com or WeGoShop.com...

Save yourselves the expense and do DME.

Thanks! I think we have decided to use the DME and order groceries to be delivered. (a much cheaper choice). We have 6 more days to departure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am using wegoshop next week (yeah) and the charge is between 15 and 25 depending on the $ size of your order. So far all the communication has been pleasant, and quick.

I will post a report when we return if anyone is interested.

We used Prestige Towncar and they were wonderful. Had a grocery stop too. Ask for Dennis--he was terrific and made us feel very comfortable.
