Hi

Always wanted to do Tower of Terror but I have a whiplash neck injury that has put me off going. Would I be okay with Tower of Terror or am I best to avoid?? Thanks:thumbsup2

Think you'd be fine, their are no forward and backwards or side to side sudden movements, it's just up and down so I don't think it would irritate your injury

Thank you.:thumbsup2 Will definitely have to give it a go in September when we visit Mickey!:goodvibes

Must say I think you'd be alright, it's not a major physical ride (that's why you only get seat belts I think).. don't take me for 100% on it though, but think you'd be fine on it :)

Got to say, out of all the rides this really gets me nervy before going on.. the theming etc (boiler room) is excellent at doing that!

Thanks.:thumbsup2 Sounds like I will be fine - yay!:yay:

I'd heard a lot of people saying the theming and CM's are great at setting the scene; so on my 8th trip to DLP looking forward to experiencing it!:goodvibes

its fabulous Ali - I'm a coaster chicken but I think I ended up on TOT more than any other ride on my trip this year, I was scared before going on it every single time, screaming on the ride every single time, and giggling hysterically every time I came off it :rotfl2:.

Sounds like just the thing DH and I would enjoy!:goodvibes I used to love coasters until my neck injury  but DH isn't keen at all and I think he is quite keen to go to the Tower of Terror giftshop as I think he is after a Tower of Terror plush Stitch that someone posted the photo of on another thread.

When we went the other year I left it until the end of the holiday before I gave the Runaway Mine a go - thought if it did do my neck in it was the last day and I had my migraine medication on me. I was just about okay; until we stopped and the bar wouldn't come up; I think the CM could see the look of sheer terror on my face as I really did think I would be pushing it to go around again!:rotfl:

the height requirement is over 102cm for Tower of Terror.

The official advise for tower of terror is:

"For safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness, or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expectant mothers should not ride. Please note that most attractions are unsuitable for children under 1 year old. "

You've not said how bad your neck injury is or how easily aggravated it is, so I can't say for definite whether you'd be ok or not.

As others have mentioned, the ride has no sudden forwards, backwards or side to side movements. But - the up / down movements are both fast (the ride is specifically built to pull you down at a speed slightly faster than free fall) and sudden (the ride drops suddenly a couple of times, at least one of these is in darkness).
