Tower of Terror question

I haven't been on TOT in 5 years, but I think I'll brave it on my next trip. My fiance' gets motion sickness and won't be able to ride with me. How far can he go with me before I load into the elevator? I'd like to show him the preshow if possible.

I've been know to get motion sickness, (avoided the Teacups for years, can't do Body Wars, etc...), and the TOT bothers me not at all.

He can go as far as the elevator in the "basement". That is where we do the kid switch.

When you load into a ToT elevator, he can take a regular elevator. Just tell the CM loading he needs the chicken route. It's in the center between the ride elevators.

If your having second thoughts or just want to experience everything except the elevator drop, just wait in line until you get all the way up to the loading of the elevators and tell the elevator operator and you'll get to take a normal elevator to the ride exit. You'll see everything up to the actual ride itself, pre-show and full
queue.
