**Tower of Terror for 5 year old?**

My DD was 5 when she rode TT. She loves thrill rides so DH decided to take her on. I paced nervously outside the ride waiting for them because I've ridden it before and I know it is pretty intense. Finally DH emerged carrying DD and she looked petrified! DH told me "take her to the bathroom, I think she soiled herself". She didn't, but she still talks about this ride over a year later and says she never wants to ride it again. We're going back in Nov, so we will see.

I think it's different for every child, but err on the side of caution!

Honestly, it depends on the child. We just got back a few weeks ago and my 4 year old son went on it. Actually got dad to go on it for the first time too, since we each had to sit by a child. My son will go on it again, but didn't want to just then.

My daughter couldn't wait to get on RnR, made the requirement this past trip also, and we walked on 3 times in a row. She loved it. But she's a coaster junkie and wants to go on Goliath at Six Flags. I'll have to pass on that one, since I'm afraid of heights.

my daughter went on when she was 5 and loved it. She can't wait to go on it again. It ended up being her favorite ride

My nephew rode it at 5. He looked at it and still wanted to ride it. He went through the preshow okay...but the ride itself freaked him out a bit. Not the drops, the other effects that happen before the ride. He loved Space Mountain, so it's wasn't the darkness or anything, but he didn't want to do the tower again.

He'll be going back when he's 9 and I bet he will want to ride it again then.

I agree it does depend on the child my DD5 but was 4 at the time we watched it from the outside (which you don't really see that much just the lift doors opening and closing) she then asked what happened we told her that you queue up to be bounced a few times and the front doors open so as you can see all the other rides you might want to try next!! bit cruel I know, but also really close to the truth as you do bounce!! :rotfl: :Pinkbounc :rotfl:
She absolutlely loved it and I think I screamed more than her!! she wanted to go again but we had to go to our fantasmic dinner package.....phew!!!
You know your child best whether they should know what to expect or not but as has been said if they get to the lifts they can still back out if needed
Enjoy!!
