Tower Of Terror Count Down Begins 5 Days

Ok we have entered the final week. In the next few days the majority of us will be making the trip to the 'House of Mouse'. Everyone get there safe, if your hitch hiking, driving, flying or as in Judy's case a horse:

You all should have by now driven your co-workers nuts telling them about the ToT event anyway. Today just for a last poke say, "I did mention I was going to DisneyWorld didn't I".

Your assignment today is to take every opportunity to loudly say "YES" during your regular conversations.

We all have a child inside us, that part of our personality and our being that never quite grew up and never got tame and civilized. That is the part you need to let take over now. Your inner wild child needs to do your packing, forget the dignified, sensible vacation wear, go for the comfortable, feel good adventure wear.

Is everybody ready to get a little crazy and have way to much fun????

And here I was thinking I was the only one who was soooooooooo excited!!!! I have been packed for over a week and no one else in my group is even the least bit excited. Thank goodness there are other WDW crazy people out there, otherwise it would be pretty lonely.......

5 days & I'm getting terror-fied!

DD15 was sick for 2 weeks, ,then I got the stomache flu, then she did, then I did. We have not trained in almost a MONTH!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!

Who is going to push, pull, carry us thru???????

I just keep telling myself "It's ONLY 8 miles, It's ONLY 8 miles!"

We leave Friday afternoon, but won't be in Orlando til Saturday early afternoon to pick up, check in to hotel.

Haven't been to WDW in more than a decade......I assume the packet will tell us when to get where, where to park, etc???

I'm hoping to meet up with somebody, ,anybody, as I don't want to end up walking this alone (maybe fairly slowly) if DD decided to jog it..

I was all packed but I have revised my list trying to cut down a suitcase....how can 2 adults only going away for 4 days need all this stuff....lol

I have 2 days of work and 3 days left before we leave!! I read somewhere that you should pack and then if you say "I might need" don't bother to pack it. Just go with the original thought. I try to stick to this and it works for the most part. I have to pack DH too as he just wants to know when he has to wake up.

While you're packing (or listing) just keep saying, 3 more days, 3 more days, 3 more days.....

I am looking forward to my quick trip. Flight leaves Saturday afternoon, so I will probably pack late Saturday morning/early Saturday affternoon. Its much easier to just throw stuff in a bag for myself than when I have to help organize all the home troops.

Thanks for the pic, Dave! I don't usually ride in traffic though. And in case you'd like to know, Mist already has her Halloween costume on. Yup, the barn was not yet dry so now, instead of a Quarter Horse, she's a "Paint" horse!

I'm EXTREMELY excited but have to suffer thru my pre-vacation "I hate to leave my house and horses and cat and bunnies" hysteria. I'll be fine once I get in the car to head to the airport. But from now until Friday morning it's worry worry worry.

I'm pretty well packed, except for the last minute things, so now it's just a matter of kiling time until we leave. You can't possibibly think I'm going to focus on work! Ha! Not likely.

Some of my coworker couldn't believe that I am heading back to WDW again!
I just told them that if they think I'm excited about going again they should talk to Dave!!

I will be packing in a little while, and do all the little things that need to be done so that everything will be ready for us to leave in the morning. It also helps that DD21 still lives at home so that the fur babies and lab will be taken care of.

I am doing the same thing Judy. Except all I have to do is get in the truck and drive 3 hours. I feel like I have a ton of things to do in the next 5 days to get ready but then I just sit on the couch in the evenings and do nothing. Everything will probably be finished sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning before we leave. Planning on getting on the road around 8AM and heading straight to Downtown Disney for packet pick up.

It is hot and humid here. Scott H and his wife Lynn met up with us at EPCOT for F&W. We were sweating like dogs in the shade. Truely brutal for us mountain people.

BTW, I don't think there will be final instructions. I think it will be tough for those trying to figure out how to get to the race and get back at 1:00am when Disney transport doesn't run

I am very excited but very underprepared for running! Ah well, it'll be fine.

I'm driving up on Friday with my boyfriend (it's about 3 hours from here door to door). We're taking all of Friday off, so technically only 3 workdays left until we leave!

It's been fun, every time I look a little tired at work or seem frazzled, my boyfriend (who works with me, in fact sits right next to me through a short wall) looks over and says, "Disney on Friday!" and I instantly perk up!

We'll only be there for the weekend but it's going to be a great time.

Hi All,

In the paper today (in Ft Myers) they were talking about how this is close to being the hottest October ever. If we don't get a cold front in the next week we will break the record. Be prepared for hot/humid weather.

We also live about 3 hours from Disney and will be driving up Friday afternoon after working 1/2 day. Hope to pick up our packet then hit the Halloween party. We were just there for the RFTT, so the we aren't really that excited - YET!

Last trip we went to the F&W festival and this trip we are going to the Halloween Party Friday night. This will be our first time at the Halloween party as we usually just go to the Christmas party. Should be a lot of fun.
